I had originally borrowed this book from the library and liked it so much I purchased a copy. Good, simple and cheap ideas to spruce up your home.

Spend-A-Little Save-A-Lot Home Improvements really is a book of money-saving projects that anyone can do. Most of us ignore projects like this because we think they are too hard to complete, too time-consuming, or will cost too much money. This book breaks down a variety of home improvement projects in easy-to-follow baby steps that will help even first-time home owners keep their home in tip-top shape, and will reduce energy costs at the same time. I've actually done a few of these projects in my home and can attest to how easy they are. If you have a home that was built more than just a few years ago, you will run into these situations, and this book is an excellent manual to own!

This is such a great resource for any home owner. I love the fact that it very clearly shows step by step instructions for fixes that could cost a lot if you had someone else do them. There's also a lot of great information about what to look for so those minor, easily dealt with problems don't become major issues. But I'm particularly impressed by how easy it is to immediately save real money with just some simple energy saving measures. Having seen Brad Staggs on TV, I was impressed by the fact that he could share from his experience of seeing the most common kinds of problems. Really well done.

I watch the Danny Lipford home show on Saturday mornings. He referenced this book. I am a new home owner & I find this book simple & easy to use. I also like that it has pictures. For a beginner as myself, I find it helpful. Not too detail or using descriptions that I do not understand.

This is a great book for not only first time home buyers but anyone who owns a home. I am a loan officer and I give all my clients a copy of this book and suggest it when teaching First Time Home Buyer Classes. It has practical easy tips on maintenance and repair that all homeowners should do. It is a manual on how to take care of your home! My clients have absolutely loved this book. The instructions are simple and easy to follow with great photo's to follow along, even if you have never done a repair in your life you can now without being overwhelmed and having to read 50 pages to understand. I highly recommend this book to anyone who is looking for a DIY Home Repair guide. Makes a great closing gift for Realtors and Lenders alike!
