This review is from: Why We Spend Too Much on Health Care...and What We Can Do About It (Paperback)
I did not find this book to be very helpful in answering the question it posed. Some of the suggestions in the book have been implemented during the years since its publication (almost 15 years ago), but have failed to remedy the dire situation we find ourselves in today where healthcare is concerned. The real problem, lack of a universal health plan for all peoples is not taken under serious consideration. There is a stubborn belief in this country that we will be able to save money and prevent higher taxes by avoiding a health plan that covers everyone. Why we spend so much is because we do not.
