Bought these to take to the range. Overall very comfortable. Fits over my glasses with no problems. Fits over my ears just fine. Reduces the gunblast to just a "pop". They are lightweight and you hardly know you're wearing them. I also play guitar in a band and I use these when I play through a very loud amp. Works great in this situation as well. More comfortable than earplugs actually. Good for the money.

Item came brand new sealed. Very comfortable, light weight and a cool look. I was going to get the Howard Leight L0 just because they folded up and were thinner. The difference was $8 between the two. I am glad I went with these. Who cares if they fold up, you don't wear them folded up. Not really worth the $8 difference. Also, the thickness is not much different.

I know it is not the original purpose, but these earmuffs work great when studying for finals. They block out any distracting far away noise, and if you add the in-ear ear plugs they block out virtually all sound. Works great for my application.

make matters worse, one of the best vantage points is right
in front of giant speakers. These Earmuffs make things bearable.
Light, comfortable, and the price is right. The fact that they also
look pretty cool...Bonus!!

1) The product picture isn't up-to-date. The earmuff that was shipped to me is branded as "Howard Leigh by Sperion".

2) The earmuffs are adjustable, affordable, and very comfortable. Clamping is a bit tight at first, so you'll probably want to clamp it on something overnight for a few days to reduce the force.

3) You'll still hear sounds, but it dampens them to the point where it's unlikely to distract you. For people who can't focus/concentrate, such as myself, this is a huge factor.

4) Design is pleasantly attractive and the color isn't gaudy. From afar, it'll look like a pair of ordinary headphones. When they say slim, it really is slim compared to other earmuffs, so when you take it out in public (such as a library), it won't look really weird.

Overall 5 stars. Unless you work with a cement breaker, this will probably suffice for most tasks.

I purchased these to help my son (who has Autism) deal with certain noises that bother him. He is 5 and they fit him well. They also fit me---and feel somewhat calming. I imagine, he also feels more calm with them on. When he is watching a TV show with loud noises, I'll ask if he wants to wear them---and he does. Before these he would continue to watch the TV show, but scream or cry during it, yet would not let me turn off the show. I would recommend these for use with kids on the Autism Spectrum!

I also bought the ones by Peltor---made specifically for kids, but they are way too small.

Quality earmuffs for $12.

PROS

Inexpensive but not cheap.

NRR Rating of 25 (ANSI Certified). I bought a set of earmuffs before for $20 that claims a NRR of 30 but it seems that the Sperian L1 provides better sound attenuation in an indoor shooting range.

Low profile design. It's not the most thinnest low profile earmuffs in the market but I have no problem shooting my AR 15.

Both the headband and the ear foam pads are quite comfortable and I have no problem using it for an hour and a half in the range.

CONS

None at the moment. I only had it for a couple of uses and cannot comment on it's durability.

If you want a higher Noise Reduction Rating... Check out Sperian's L3 which has a NRR of 30.

Good sound reduction in shooting handguns and even when using electric drilling/saw tools. Nice and comfy feel for extended duration use and a great price too!

The only issue is you cannot properly aim when shooting a rifle with this as the ear cover hits the buttstock when aiming forcing you to re-position the ear piece contantly.

I have used these for both shooting at an indoor pistol range and for mowing with a riding mower. They really cut down on the noise. Highly recommend.

Best earmuffs I have owned. They are much better than some that are priced around 40 dollars. Comfortable, great noise dampening muffs, with a great headband. I use them for shooting, and you can still hear people talk. Fast shipping also.
