Beau Monde Seasoning is an old time favorite celery seed based seasoning that is so hard to find. I can't think of anything that it would not taste good in.

It is delicious on vegetables and in soups and, for those who aren't vegan or vegetarian, Poultry, meat and fish.

A great fat free recipe is to mince some shallot or sweet onion and garlic (elephant garlic works well). Cut fresh broccoli and peal the stem. Put onion and garlic in pot and place broccoli on top then add a little water (1/4 cup depending how much broccoli). Then add a little fresh cracked black pepper and 1/2 tsp-3/4 tsp Beau Monde (again depends on how much broccoli but 1/2 tsp for one smallish sized head), add a pinch of Spice Islands dried lemon peel and cook covered on medium high for about five minutes, or until the water cooks off and the onion and garlic have browned and the broccoli is tender crisp. Delectable!

I bought this as a Xmas gift for my mom. She is so hard to shop for because she always says she has everything she needs and there's nothing she wants. She had bought Spice Island Beau Monde about 10 years ago and she loves the Beau Monde Dip Recipe. Unfortunately after a few times she bought it it dissappeared and she could never find it again. Sometimes she would find a cupon for Spice Island but no supermarkets in our area sell it. This was the perfect gift idea. I was thrilled to find it and my mother practically cried when she opened it. I bought the 3 pack and even printed out a bunch of Beau Monde recipes from the Spice Island website so she could make more than just the dip. She said it was the best gift I ever gave her and now she knows how to get more in the future. She even gave me a bottle for my own kitchen and I have to say it's absolutely worth it.

I'm beside myself- have been using beau monde for years- especially for the wonderful dill dip,and a great chex mix which everyone loves- but I can't find it anywhere and I'm desperate! HELP! Please tell me it hasn't been discontinued!

I use this product for an old family recipe. I looked around and finally found it here for about $14.00 per bottle including shipping in a three pack. The package came and the middle bottle was broken. The refund was issued following the claim. No problem there.

Three days later, Cub Foods has a new Spice Island display with Beau Monde for $3.28 per bottle.

This is the spice I add when I know my dish needs something but I am not sure what. Winner! I miss it. Why can't I find it in the grocery stores???

This is great in a steak marinade with garlic, soy sauce.... but this price is ridiculous! No way is it worth it - use a less expensive season salt that has a sage in it.
