This is a really fun book! It's great for someone who doesn't like to cook, like me, or for someone who loves to experiment with cooking, like my boyfriend. At the beginning, this cookbook sounded a bit exotic, but I was attracted to it's simplified receipes and it's cute notes. The use of the variety of spices and herbs gave me an opportunity to explore all sorts of ethnic supermarkets. Each receipe I've tried is so different and yummy. Last of all, this book just touched me because the author dedicated this book to his 'heart' donor.

Finally there's a healthy cookbook that doesn't scrimp on flavor. The recipes are exciting, easy to make and real conversation starters !

The sheer number of countries, cultures, and customs in these recipes is extraordinary. From my own Mediterrean homeland through Africa, Latin America and Asia...all done with ease, and humor. A wonderful gift for yourself or someone you love.
