5.0 out of 5 stars Awesome B-side!
The Spice Girls are just absolutely amazing. They don't take themselves to seriously, and they just have fun! I bought this single because I wanted to hear Spice Invaders. Thank God I bought this single. Spice Invaders is so wacky and funny!

1.Spice Up Your Life-Just like the original on the album. An awesome song that is so catchy. I love it...

3.0 out of 5 stars A big slice of cheese
I know I have always been rather critical of The Spice Girls' music. Their music or should I say image has always been rather a PR's wet dream however I have to admit that the girl group actually did manage to churn out a few catchy pop songs that I can't help but like. One of the few songs that I did like by the short-lived pop group is "Spice Up Your Life". The lyrics...

I love it.
2.Spice Up Your Life (Morales Radio Mix)-I love this remix! I like this better that the original!
3.Spice Up Your Life (Instrumental)-This didn't make any sense to me! In the movie Spice World, they open up to Spice Up Your Life, and it's instumental during the "La La La" part, and I liked that beat, but they sang it on the instrumental. It just didn't make any sense.
4.Spice Invaders-They can get away with anything. I love this song (well, it's not really a song, they just talk). I laughed so hard when I heard this "song." They're so wacky and fun. I love Mel B's craziness and her stress thing "aaaaaaahhhh," Emma's babyish behaviour but so innocent (off camera I've heard otherwise), Mel C's corniness, but in a good way, Geri's thoughts and how she gets so into a subject (Geri is my favorite). Geri made me laugh the most. Victoria's very very funny on thier four home videos, and she is also in this song. I don't get the part about her telling Geri to hug that tree though.

I LOVE THE SPICE GIRLS! SPICE GIRLS FOREVER! THEY'RE GETTING BACK TOGETHER IN JULY 2006 SO KEEP WAITING! THEY'RE GONNA HAVE A GREATEST HITS ALBUM, NEW SONGS, AND A REUNION TOUR! I CAN'T WAIT!

5.0 out of 5 stars Spice Invaders Hits Right On, July 9, 2003
This review is from: Spice Up Your Life [UK CD1] (Audio CD)
This single is already a big highlight because of Spice Up Your Life. But I would say the real gem of this single is the non-album track Spice Invaders. The girls ad-lib (or at least sound like it) throughout the whole song, just saying various things and being nutty and spicy. The song makes use of every girl, portraying Mel B's craziness, Emma's sweetness, Vicky's poised attitude, Geri's insightful thoughts and Mel C's innocent truthfulness. This is a must have for every spice fan, as you can't find Spice Invaders on any other cd. Spice fans forever and always!

Another women's libber hymn by the Spice Girls.
It's the fastest and catchiesct song they ever sang.
there are the Radio vesion, the David morales remix which is not so good the instrumental version and a song called Space invaders which is really strange you just hear some Background music and the girls talking. I don't understand them but I don't think that I missed something.

5.0 out of 5 stars THE SPICE GIRLS ARE BACK A SECOND TIME, April 17, 2001

Afer their first album of "Spice," the Spice Girls shocked many by veering away from their pop roots by displaying a latin sound in this new single of "Spice Up Your Life." It's latin sound is one for the dance floors which is a big plus with party DJ's. This song hit #1 for a week. The single is awesome and definitely deserves a 5-star rating. Let's have a synopsis of the single, shall we?

1) SPICE UP YOUR LIFE (STENT RADIO MIX)- Latin sounding, do the flamenco, lambada, fox-trot, whatever, hit the dance floor is what this song is packed with. It is extremely catchy and immediately makes you want to get up and dance.

2) SPICE UP YOUR LIFE (MORALES RADIO MIX)- Same ordered lyrics as the original Stent Radio Mix, but with a more latin sound enhanced by David Morales is what lies in this song. It strips the original from it's pop side but adds more of a latin bassline.

3) SPICE UP YOUR LIFE (STENT RADIO INSTRUMENTAL)- Same song as the original radio mix, but with only the chorus being sung. It isn't nearly as enjoyable as the original song, but it's stripping of the vocals allows you to hear just the beat only, which is cool.

4) SPICE INVADERS- The B-Side of this single is really funky. There is no actual singing going on, just humming, and the girls talking about nothing. It's actually really stupid, but the beat is kind of cool and it's different from the normal song.

The awesome dance hit is displayed along with an enhanced latin version, both along with a half-instumental and a wacky exclusive on this single. Pick up this single if your into that sort of thing.

The lyrics may have all the depth of a Lindsay Lohan/Hilary Duff/Ashlee Simpson song but at least the girl group never took themselves so seriously unlike the aforementioned pop tarts. What I like about "Spice Up Your Life" is that it is a fun, catchy pop song and nothing more. I just love the melodies. I can hear a slight Latin influence in the song. The group were always better at uptempo songs than ballads (w/"Viva Forever" as an exception). I have to say that I could have lived without "Spice Invaders". I avoid that track like a plague. I don't know if including an instrumental version of this song was really necessary. I don't like instrumental versions of pop songs. Actually the instrumental track really isn't an instrumental because the chorus is song. It is just the verses that are left out. WTF?! That makes no sense to me. I like the Stent Radio mix a lot more than the Morales mix. The Morales mix lacks that big, in your face production that the Stent mix has. All in all, "Spice Up Your Life" is a big guilty pleasure of mine. The Spice Girls' music may not have been high art but given today's crop of pop tarts, I'll take them over Lindsay, Ashlee, and Hilary thank you very much.

It's time to spice up your lives! This single is one of their most lively tracks. The remixes and the rare b-side "Spice Invaders" are really cool! The last one I mentioned is really weird and the lyrics are fun and cute! It's an absolute buy guys, don't miss out!
