There's nothing worse than bland-as-oatmeal writing that doesn't evoke passion, laugher, anger, love... some kind of emotion from your reader. Story tellers who don't elicit emotion won't gain an avid readership. It's that simple. If you've struggled, wondering how you can get your writing to sparkle like a bright penny, this book is dedicated to you. Written in her typical down-home style, prolific writer, master story teller, and lover of the written phrase, Billie A. Williams has laid out an easy to digest palate of sensuous, tangy, salty, and (yes, sometimes) bitter writing techniques you can immediately use to literally spice up your writing.
I am a big fan of Amazon and usually buy all my books or nearly all of them straight from here. It is a delight to be included with in the pages of their books for sale on line.
As a multi-published, award-winning author I find connecting to new readers and current fans is as simple as an email address. You can find any of my Books from my three publishers Wings ePress, Inc., Filbert Publishing, and Publish America right here. Just search for my name. Billie A Williams.
As a child growing up in Park Falls, Wisconsin and spending summers alone with my grandparents on a farm in Morse, Wisconsin, I had ample time to create stories for myself and my 4 siblings.
I read, read, read. I think I checked out as many books as I could carry every week when Grandma would take me to the Glidden Public Library - I would read every book cover to cover and anticipate the next trip. I still remember finding The Diary of Anne Frank. That book still lingers in my mind.
My mother instilled the joy and inspiration of reading into our lives. I have never stopped reading. Is it any wonder I write = ) Stephen King said, "if you don't have time to read, You don't have time to write."
Issac Asimov said "I write for the same reason I breathe. For without it I would die." Both of these statements inform my life and resemble my thoughts exactly.
