5.0 out of 5 stars Great Book
This is a great reference book. If you have any question about spicy foods, you can probably find the answer in this book. If you like spicy foods, you should have a copy.

3.0 out of 5 stars Not the Ultimate Guide
The title suggested that this was the Ultimate guide to buying, growing, storing and using spices. While there is lots of good stuff here the authors mainly deal with peppers and I was looking for something about other spices as well. The growing detail is not as comprehensive as I had hoped. Perhaps the authors should have called this the Pepper lover's bible.

It started with a recipe I made from this book that was on cookstr.com, a pumpkin/cranberry bread with a touch of habanero in it, lovely thing that is now on our Thanksgiving menu list. This book is in my stash to give as a Christmas gift to one of my children. There are so many cookbooks. This one has a twist they will love.
