A sequel in the works?
This is a great read about family battles, love lost, and the revolutionary war. I enjoy Morris' books, but this one left me wondering if there would be a sequel. The love story wrapped up in two pages and left you wondering what would happen to everyone? If this is a series, I wholeheartedly recommend it, if not you probably will not like the ending.

Boring
I really tried to finish this book but quit about 3/4 of the way through. I felt it dragged and seemed like something I may have enjoyed when I was a young girl.

Gilbert Morris has never disappointed me when I set down to read a good book. He writes a book that you enjoy and for awhile put yourself into a different time and place.
