5.0 out of 5 stars Not so Amazing., August 13, 2009

This review is from: Spider-Man: Death and Dating (Hardcover)
What ever happened to that ol' mattress head The Shocker? Well he's a hitman for hire and during an unscheduled stop on the subway: Spider-man, The Shocker and his 'hits' have to work together if they want to leave the subway tunnels alive.

In "Fill in the Blank" Spider-Man faces the one bank robber he can't web up; The Blank. Name sound familiar or are you drawing a blank? Don't worry if you don't remember this old school villain-- they'll fill you in on who he is and his path through out the marvel universe. I can't say that I was satisfied with how Spider-Man 'wrapped' things up in what felt like a filler comic.

How did Harry Osborn return from the dead? Why was Oscorp experimenting on Freak? What happen to Charlie Weiderman after "Skin Deep"? All these questions answered and more in "Mind on Fire" not the usual ASM comic formula, but this story arc gives a fantastic incite into Harry's life. Even without the fight between The Molten Man and Spider-Man this script is pretty d@mn amazing.

Finally this Graphic novel wraps up with a story told from the POV of Betty Brant and dives into her relationship with Peter Parker. It doesn't sound like it will be that great of a script, but it isn't anything short of Amazing.
