This item was given to my 5-year-old son as a Christmas gift. The knobs on the back are flimsy; one actually came out in my hand while I was setting the alarm for him. We've had it 2 days. The alarm seems to go off completely at random without reference to the time for which it is set. This is quite disconcerting to a small child in at 3 in the morning (plus no fun for Mom and Dad either). Once the alarm goes off, there seems to be no discernable way to shut it off, you just have to wait it out. We're tanking this alarm clock and buying my son a model similar to that my daughter received (Disney Buzz n More).

Does not plug in, runs on 3 AA batteries. Cheap mass-produced item lacking craft and quality. The paint was smudged on the face, probably packed before it was dry. The clock hands were loose on mine. Overall an interesting looking piece for display but not functional. However, it does play the spider-man cartoon theme from the 60s. I wouldn't recommend this product.

So, my son was starting kindergarten this year, and I thought that he would love to have his own alarm clock so that he could feel big like his older brother. Well, I purchased this clock after looking at many others. This was the one he wanted. We got it in the mail and he was so excited. We set it up by his bed and gave it a test try. Well, it didn't work. So, I put new batteries in, and it still didn't work. Needless to say, it still doesn't work. The clock will not keep time. So I don't suggest this if you want an actual alarm clock. Otherwise, my son likes the spiderman song it plays. That's about all it's good for.

If only I could give this negative stars - The thing is non-functional straight out of the box. Bought it for my boy to use for alarm clock for him to start Kindergarten. The thing did not keep time and was at a dead stop within about one hour. It was still ticking, but it was not telling time. Worst purchase ever on Amazon, or anywhere for that matter. I should have listened to the other reviewers.

I have a much different experience with the clock. First off it is very durable. I don't have to worry about dropping it or knocking it off the table. Second, it keeps great time, and you can shut the alarm off by using the switch on the back. Third, it wakes me up on the dot every morning. Definitely recommend buying it.
