Worst Spider-Man Comic EVER. December 3, 2010
By J. Belk
Format:Hardcover
I hate to resort to the cliche of "I'd give this less than one star if I could" But it definitely applies here.

If you want to read an amateurishly written story, filled with plot holes and coincidence, and peopled by characters acting completely contrary to how they have behaved for the past thirty years or so, you're in luck! Marvel's Editor in Chief has come through for you, writing a story that makes one nostalgic for the good ol' days of the "clone saga"...

Because absolutely no one demanded it, see Joey Q revisit the most reviled "epic" in Spidey's nearly fifty year history, "One More Day"! Thrill as the villain of the piece escapes a police squad car with the help of a bird(?)! sit on the edge of your seat as Spidey's epic confrontation ends with a fat guy falling on him! See Mary Jane spew a bunch of nonsense and act like an idiot! Relish as Spidey saves Aunt May with simple chest compressions, after the entire Marvel Universe could do nothing to help!

A pile of tripe disguised as a story. Joe Quesada you should be ashamed of yourself.

Pretty awful. I don't mean to sound crass, but this really is an awful book. The entire One More Day, make a deal with the Devil storyline, has really been some of my least favorite comics of all time. And by least favorite, I mean I hate them. The only good Spider-Man books to come our recently are books that ignore for a moment this awful event, and instead spend an issue with Spidey crime busting or joking around without mentioning anything related to One More Day. One Moment In Time is a direct re-visitation to One More Day, and I had little hope that it would do anything to improve my liking of the original story. It doesn't. The "Moment In Time" that I quit collecting Spider-Man comics was when the deal with Mephisto first went down. I've been browsing and occasionally buying trades as they come out now, but this is definitely one to still avoid.

Horrible December 19, 2010
Format:Hardcover
This story make me feel sick. They took a great character of MJ and turned her into a selfish twit. This story taints everything that has happened the last 30 years. The funniest thing is they still have MJ in the book even though her reasoning they gave was she didn't want to be around Spidey cuz her family could be hurt, well she should move to the west coast and be gone but now we have to have awkward scences with her and Pete's new girl who has no personality and I can't even figure out what she should look like cuz every artist draws her different. Speaking of art, Mary Jane never looked uglier then she does in these books. The only good thing was that they got rid of Mephisto which was another horrible idea. Big Time has been good so far. I would start there and ignore the last few years of poor stories and bad art.

I haven't collected Amazing Spider-Man for over 20 years. I just jumped back in and I started with Spider Island, which is still unfolding and I really am enjoying it! Read more
