This Spider-Man story is one of the best before the dreaded "Clone Saga." It includes a good variety of classic Spidey bad guys like Doc Ock, Sandman, etc. as well as many team-ups. It's also Erik Larsen's work on Spidey before leaving Marvel.

The third Sinister Six storyline wraps up the loose ends of 1990's Return storyline. Unfortunately it probably ranks up with The Other and One More Day as some of the worst Spider-Man garbage to ever be written.

Classic Spider-Man villains like Electro, Dr. Octopus, and the Vulture are now armed to the teeth with so many guns and ammo it'd make Rambo jealous. After all, who needs superpowers or using your head when you have lots and lots of weapons? Spider-Man himself, and I wish I was making this up, actually gets turned into a gun-toting cyborg at one point during his battle against them but winds up (and repeatedly, I might add), getting beaten beaten to a bloody pulp. Sensless violence abounds and pointless guest-appearances pop up, ranging from heavy-hitters like the Hulk and Fantastic Four to low-keys like Sleepwalker and Solo. Shame it doesn't even make a lick of sense.
