This review is from: A Spiderling Grows Up (Scholastic News Nonfiction Readers: Animal Life Cycles) (Library Binding)
We checked this book out from the library. My 3 year old daughter loved it and asked me to read it to her every day that we had it. My 5 year old son liked it alot as well. It covers the life cycle of a spider, and the differing ways spiderlings live. Some live on mother spiders back, some fly away on silk strands. It covers spider vocabulary for children I'd say up to 3rd grade level. It was great to see my children hunting through our garden plants looking for spider egg sacs. I'm glad that we had at the same time, checked out books on Black Widows and Brown Recluse spiders so they could learn how to spot and be careful of those spiders, while they hunted.
