Of all the Marvel trilogies (Mutant Empire, Time's Arrow, Diane Duane's books) this is the weakest, but it's still pretty good. I like the villain team-up of Doom and Octopus, and I'd bet real money that Askegren wrote all the Fantastic Four parts, 'cause they're as right on here as they are in _Countdown to Chaos_. The climax was kinda weak, but I loved the epilogue.

Spider-Man & The Fantastic Four: Wreckage
Eric Fein & Pierce Askegren
1997
249 Pages

The third and final book in Marvel's Doom's Day Trilogy, this time Spider-Man needs to team up with the Fantastic Four when Doctor Doom breaks Doctor Octopus out of prison and initiates the take over the world scheme that he has been working on the entire trilogy.

An action pact story, this story follows the heroes as they try to figure out why anyone would want Doctor Octopus free and what they could possibly be planning. Too late, by the time they figure it out, Doctor Doom's plan is in motion. Only with Pete's experience with the infinity engine and the Fantastic Four's knowledge of Doom will they have any chance of stopping Doom.

This is an entertaining read that nicely ties up the plot threads from the previous books, I recommend it.

Shalom,
Sonny

To start out you have Spiderman and Fantasic Four Team-Up against Dr. Doom and Dr. Octopus.
The authors know the characters and just excellent writers the action is great and you want to read this book. You need to read the first two books first, a few of sub-plots started in the the previous books. The SAFE agents return and MJ shows up too.
If your are a Marvel Fan you must read this.

I have read this book and I think it's great. Although I think there is a hole in the plot because Dr. Doom is the kind of guy who would not ask for anyone's help regardless of their expertise, he probably would have known the stuff himself

This book starts off with action as Doctor Octopus is freed from prison. Then it declines and picks up with an exciting finish. Spider-Man Readers will love this book for its fast-paced action.
