We got this becuase my son (2 years old) loves his sing-along dancing Spidey so much. That one is not very soft so did not make a good bedtime toy. This one is perfect! It's soft enough to take to bed but still sings. He hasn't had problems pulling the cord. The spider handle is large enough for him to grab easily and you don't have to pull very hard. I do wish it sang more than one line at a time though. This has been a GREAT toy - he actually wants to go to bed now.

I got this for my 18 month old so he could be like his big brother getting superhero things. He liked it a lot at first, but now doesn't care for it. The song only plays one line at a time so he gets annoyed having to pull the string so much to complete the song. I got it when it was in the toy outlet, so I didn't pay too much.

Was looking for a stuffed animal for a boy, and did'nt want to get him anything the parents might consider too "girly", so this seemed a good choice. With each pull of the spider on his chest, he sings one line from Itsy Bitsy Spider. I got this at a lower price, so it was a fine purchase. The singing is a little monotonous to me, but a child may like it.
