4.0 out of 5 stars Neat game... but there is room for improvement.
This game is something my 5-year-old son REALLY wanted for Christmas; lo and behold--Santa brought it! It was surprisingly easy to set up, and the game itself is simple enough for a kindergartner to understand. It is overall a really cool game to look at and to play...However...The magnet mechanism seems to be somewhat flawed because when you swing Spiderman, instead of...

This toy we thought would be fun, It turned into a nightmare because the pieces when putting together would break. It is made of cardboard and the slots would peel so the pieces couldn't stay together. Great thought behind the game just not good manufacturing

This game is something my 5-year-old son REALLY wanted for Christmas; lo and behold--Santa brought it! It was surprisingly easy to set up, and the game itself is simple enough for a kindergartner to understand. It is overall a really cool game to look at and to play...However...The magnet mechanism seems to be somewhat flawed because when you swing Spiderman, instead of "pointing" to a villain as he's supposed to, 9 times out of 10 swings he lands in the middle. The directions tell you that when that happens the player should simply swing him again...We are spending a heck of a lot of time swinging again! Also, the buildings on the board make for a really fun and interesting scene for Spiderman, but it's a little difficult to maneuver around them. Also, the "buildings" don't stay in place very well. I think we can overcome the flaws (reinvent the playing directions), and I would still reccommend the game--just don't expect perfection.

Having completely disregarding the previous reviews, I went ahead and bought this game. It's not made as terrible as those claim to be, and the only way I can see spiderman falling off is if you're pulling really hard on it. The game is made ok, the card board slots do tend to come out of the board more often than not. But it's not that big of a deal. The game is slow, and not that much fun. I bought it for my 3 and 5 year old sons for Christmas, thinking that at least one of them would like it, but that's not really the case. We've played it just a few times since then. It's kind of a boring game with going around the board an endless amount of time until all the villains are captured. I am a big believer in making my boys finish things that they start, but I have let them give up this game because there's not point to it. It's still kind of cool to have in our collection of games though.

We got this game and it pretty simple to set up. Spiderman swings very well when the height is adjusted properly. We also have kept the game intact after building it once so its very easy to start playing immediately. My kids loved playing with it.

The swinging Spidey is really cool. At first we had trouble getting him to stop on a magnet but with a few quick height adjustments it was working perfectly. Definitely a fun game.
