This book is crap. It says that "most spiders have eight legs". Is the author an idiot? Unless a spider has lost a leg and survived, they ALL HAVE EIGHT LEGS!
Also, spiders are all carnivorous? Wrong again. There is a species that is mostly herbivorous.
And it's 40,000 species, not 30,000.
Perhaps if the author was not on her knees praying all the time and actually knew their s*** this book might not have been the total flop it obviously is!

Never mind the 'belief' part ( god) - they can't get even the simplest facts straight.

Oh dear.

From the book: "God made about 30,000 spiders. Most have eight legs and eight eyes. Spiders are carnivorous. They eat only meat."

Spiders, by definition ALL have eight legs. As of 2008, at least 43,678 spider species have been identified. Also the Bagheera kiplingi species is mostly herbivorous. No other known spider has such a thoroughly herbivorous diet. A terribly inaccurate and over simplistic book, even if it is aimed at kids.

But then these books aren't about education, rather indoctrination. They'll probably go down well in Texas or Alabama.
