I am new to the Wii games & this was one of my 1st purchases. It's a very fun game if you like solving puzzles, quests and adventures. Lots of Wii Controler usage as you battle the goblins. You can always refer to the field guide if you're not sure what to do next. Sometimes frustrating when you can't get through a certain point - but rewarding once you do! Highly recommend this game! Lots of fun!

I'm an adult woman with no children who didn't see the movie but loves puzzle oriented, role-playing games. This game is extremely interesting. I'm still at the beginning (Ch.3) but so far this game is great. I was initially disappointed with the way you interact with objects (point and click Wii remote) but after a few minutes, I began to appreciate the fact that action items are clearly marked. There is so much to do and so many things to remember. You find a lot of items early. You know that you will need them in the future; but, you aren't able to acquire them until you actually need them; thus, you have to remember where they are so you can come back and get them later. Also, you have to play as various different characters. This is not optional which seemed undesirable at first but it turns out that this is one of the things that makes the game surprising. Just when you are getting the hang of your character's personality and controls, you have to switch to another character. It forces you to look at things from a different perspective even if it is the same object you looked at a few minutes before while playing another character. Although the cover and introduction seems very dark, there doesn't seem to be any blood and gore which I really appreciate. When goblins are killed, they burst like water balloons and leave sparkly glass teeth behind that kind of resembles jewels. The bottom line here is that I really like this game.

Bought this for my son but I (and sometimes my teenage daughter) end up playing/solving the game with him. This game relies on instinct and requires a great deal of patience to figure out the next move. For some, it will be frustrating as you will need to repeat the task from "checkpoint" several times until you get it right, but hang in there. It's rewarding to be able to finish a task. Always consult the guidebook that will appear whenever you press the + sign.

I bought this game as a surprise for my niece. Needless to say I opened it before I gave it to her. Once the game loaded, I was hooked. This game is absolutley fun to play! I especially enjoyed playing as Thimbletack. He's a great little character who roams around behind the walls. I love the way he speaks in rhymes. I reccommend this game to all who are looking for a puzzle game with a twist.

Purchased this game for my 10 year old son. He say's it scares him when he plays it so he hasn't played since. Beware

My son loves the Spiderwick books & movie so I bought him this game. It follows the books very well. We both love playing this game & figuring out the puzzles. It may be a bit scary for young kids but perfect for my 11 year old. It was not hard to figure out what to do & how to do it. Good on screen instructions.

I had read great reviews about this game prior to purchasing it. However I have to admit it is NOT at all what I expected. There is much more wandering around looking for puzzles to solve - which I find annoying. It reminds me a lot of the Leisure Suit Larry games of days gone by - similar style.

I find the overall graphics to be a bit dark - even after I brightened them with the setting provided on the game. I don't really like the way the character interacts with the environment. It seems very repetitive to me. Having said that it also failed to keep my attention, stopped playing after three attempts.

Just not my thing I guess.

I am new to gaming and this was one of the first games we purchased because we loved the movie. This game hooked me quickly. The controls are easy to get used to. There are many different levels of play and many side games to play as well. The graphics are spot on. This game does take a while to complete but the entertainment value is out tremendous.

We have since bought many other games but I'm still striving for a game equal to this awesome experience. This is a GREAT buy and very entertaining for all ages.

I thought this game has a great overall plot to it. It's very similair to the movie as well except there are a few minor changes. I love exploring, and finding all the hidden secrets to the game! It could keep me busy for hours!

The only bad thing is there is WAY TOO MUCH fighting. I like adventure games but when it involves constant fighting, I get bored and frustrated easily.

Overall I really like this game and appreciate all the hard work , time, and patience put into it!

Great Game!I have played it 3 times so far.Kind of scary for little kids a Great fantasy lots of stuff to find and lots of area to explore and getting lost or turned around is easy the confusion makes it fun and finding all the fairies for different powers is kind of hard But fun.
