I have several other sets of spiegelau authentis wine, drink, and cocktail glasses. The authentis line is of much higher quality. I figured that since these were 5% lead like the authentis they would be as nice. They are not. They do not have the "hard" almost cut edge of the authentis and they are not nearly as fine of a crystal. The "ring" just isn't the same. There is a distinct seem along the base. These are fine to drink from but are no finer than what can be purchases at crate and barrell.

These are very nice glasses..they are the perfect solution for when one needs a classy glass without bringing out the "family jewels!"

They have a nice ring when toasting, thanks to the 5% lead...and are not too expensive, since the lead content is much less than real fancy 24% leaded crystal.

Yes, they do have a very, very slight seam along the stem...hardly noticeable...and certainly acceptable for a glass that costs less than $5/pc.

Today I received my recent order for these champagne glasses. The quality is excellent, I could find no flaws at all in these glasses. I have other glassware from Spiegelau (from the Vino Grande line)and have been equally pleased with those.

The price was fabulous as well. I paid $29.99 with free 2 day shipping (I'm an Amazon Prime member) for 12 glasses just a few days ago. Now I see that these glasses are no longer offered directly from Amazon but through another merchant, and cost $69.99! This seems to happen all the time on Amazon; I suggest that if you are interested in these glasses, keep checking and see if Amazon offers them directly again at a better price.

These are not those top of the line crystal flutes you always wanted to have, but they are a good substitute. The price is great and you won't have a panic attack when someone breaks one, or two. Great for those parties where you don't want to be playing stemware police! Drink Responsibly! ;)

The stems have a brilliant clarity and make a ringing bell tone when struck in a toast. I love the classic shape and sleek elegant height of each glass. Spiegelau is a brand I have come to love and trust. I could not believe the price at first I thought it had to be a mistake. It come to $5.85 a stem. I would highly recommend washing by hand so you will have the full set for years to come. Enjoy!

These flutes are so well priced and beautiful at the same time.

They are classic and mid-sized and coordinate with most other

stemware because of their clean design. I bought a couple dozen

for a Bridal shower and got rave reviews and none broke.

They are perfect party reserve stock and go well wtih Authentis,

my other stemware.

We have been using Riedel crystal wine glasses (and still do on occasion with the handful that we have left), but I finally decided to buy Spiegelau glasses for our everyday drinking glasses. Because we drink wine and entertain regularly, our collection of Riedel glasses has been diminishing --- although the crystal Riedel's are beautiful glasses (and still used for the right occasions), they are extremely fragile and I have personally destroyed several while simply hand washing them. At any rate, after years of attrition via visiting friends and family, we needed to stock up on new glasses. Because I hate to hand wash dishes, I began to look into the dishwasher-safe glasses from Riedel and Spiegelau for the new replacements. I was going to just buy the dishwasher-safe Riedel glasses (name recognition of course), but I couldn't get over how much better the Spiegelaus were priced. Moreover, all of my favorite restaurants use Spiegelau (and come to think of it, I don't think I've ever seen Riedels at a restaurant). Therefore, I took the leap and stocked up on the Chardonnay, Cabernet, Riesling, Port and Champagne glasses. I'm really glad that I did --- all of them are terrific! Although not as elegant as the fine crystal versions, these are excellent for everyday use and large dinner parties. I've already bounced one off of a granite countertop and it survived the collision without incident. I've also washed them all in the dishwasher several times and they've come out great. I am very, very happy with this purchase. I'm sure that the comparable dishwasher-safe Riedel glasses are just as nice (possibly nicer?), but you can't beat Spiegelau's price!

These are workable glasses - kind of heavy, with a seam down the stem - but attractive in a simple, uncluttered way. With reasonable care, they will probably last a long time.

These are awesome Chanpagne glasses. "WOW" factor personified.

I got them for 35 $ and am pleased with my purchase.
