Grappa is a potent, traditional Italian after-dinner drink made from the skins and seeds of grapes that have been used for winemaking. This grappa glass measures 7-3/4 inches high and is designed with a stem long enough to keep your fingers from touching the bowl, but not so long as to unbalance the glass. The glasses are billed as dishwasher-safe and are sturdy enough for everyday use, as proven by their popular use in restaurants. Still, we'd recommend hand washing. --Irene Svete

Spirited stemware,

This review is from: Spiegelau Vino Grande Grappa Glasses, Set of 6 (Kitchen)
If you enjoy grappa or marc (dry liqueur made from the lees of wine) it's important to serve it in a tall, narrow-mouthed glass. This type of glass traps the subtle aroma of grapes that makes drinking grappa an interesting experience. If you drink Kirschwasser or other eau de vie, the same glass is used. These work far better than brandy snifters which aren't really so suited to this type of delicate but potent liqueur.
