5.0 out of 5 stars Great glasses.
Saying these glasses are too small is a lot like complaining that shot glass aren't big enough. They're highballs. Bar glasses made to hold specific styles of drinks, (mojitos, singapore slings, cobblers, etc.) and they are the perfect size for that. Excellent quality.

1.0 out of 5 stars These are NOT non-lead crystal. They contain 5% LEAD OXIDE!
Contrary to what the description says about these glasses being lead-free, these glasses contain 5% LEAD OXIDE by weight, as stated on a sticker attached to each glass. Back they go. Luckily Amazon has an easy return policy. Just please be more accurate with your descriptions. I do not need to have me or kids drinking out of glasses containing lead oxides.

5.0 out of 5 stars a whole can of soda fits in one of these!, January 8, 2004

I have to disagree with the last person, the glasses are not too small. They are just not over-sized. I just poured a whole can of soda into one of them. I've had them for a while (at least two year), and really love them. Unfortunately, i noticed that one of them has chipped - but that's after extensive use.

5.0 out of 5 stars Elegant Highball Glasses, June 19, 2004

It looks very elegant with 4/5 full of iced beverage in the sunny afternoon kitchen. It feels so good while holding the glass and chatting with friends. The distinguish quality has captured every guest in the house. The size is just right for such occasions.

Apparently people don't know what the word "Highball" means, or they wouldn't be disappointed with the capacity of the glasses in this beautifully modern set from Spiegelau. Highballs, of course, hold between 8 - 12 ounces and these weigh in at a full 11 ounces. They're perfect glasses for a proper aperitif at the beginning of a nice meal with friends. If they're good enough for cocktails at Michael Mina's restaurants, certainly they're good enough for me.

2.0 out of 5 stars I wish I'd paid more attention to the dimensions, August 17, 2005
This review is from: Spiegelau Vino Grande Highball Glasses, Set of 6 (Kitchen)
Just when I thought I was getting used to everything being so much bigger in the US... I should have taken more notice of the other reviews. Beautiful glasses but they are way too small. My set will also be returned, they are a really odd size somewhere in between any use I would have for them.

3.0 out of 5 stars Lovely glasses but way too small!, November 7, 2003
This review is from: Spiegelau Vino Grande Highball Glasses, Set of 6 (Kitchen)
When I opened the box I was shocked to find out how small these glasses are. They have a lovely shape but, I'd sooner use them as juice glasses than serve a real iced beverage in them. I'm sending them back, they're too small too merit storage space in my cramped New York apartment.

3.0 out of 5 stars "GRANDE" = NOT-SO-GRANDE, June 7, 2004

The glasses arrived today in a large box, which I opened and was shocked to see another smaller box inside..... The glasses are disappointingly small. The quality appears to be good, and the design is appealing. If these glasses were just a little bigger (say 13-16 ounces) I'd rate them at 5 stars. I'm only keeping them because of the other glasses I ordered as a package deal that got me a GREAT price........
