These glasses serve the purpose for beer, which happens to be 12 fluid ounces. Although, it is exactly 12 fluid ounces so you may want to have a sip before you pour. I love the design and think they're great, the only thing that i didn't prefer was the rim of the glass is very thin, i can see a drunken buddy smashing a bottle through the side of the glass after he has had one to many. I'd recommend them and the collins glasses that come with the combo buy. not a bad deal

These were smaller than I expected. I prefer a more robust glass when serving beer. So far, it seems that the "Grande" in Spiegelau's Vino Grande line is a misnomer. These glasses and the bonus set of Vino Grande highballs that came with it are quite small.

My dad asked for new pilsner glasses for Christmas and was very specific...he wanted 12 oz. glass that has a short stem and is very thin! This glass is perfect!
