Authenticity is great- historical facts and geography are very good and well incorporated in to the story.
Perhaps there's ultimately just too much going on, too much plot, too many peripheral characters; not to mention a romance that's a complete dud.
The story is good: Costas Zannis is a policeman in the Greek city of Salonika in the opening days of WWII.
