WE got the butterfly treehouse for our 6 year old son after he had seen it advertised on one of his kid channels. We found our treehouse at Target and then sent away for our Caterpillars. You pay 6.00 for shipping and handling. They arrived, already crawling around in about 5 days. You don't have to do anything with them except watch. After about a week, 4 of the 5 were already in their cocoons.. The fifth one went in on the next day. A week later... We had 4 of the 5 butterflies emerge and the last one came out today. Tney are so pretty and fun to watch. WE will be releasing our butterflies probably tuesday outside and will order more in July. It's a wonderful, learning experience for children and adults alike. HIGHLY RECOMMEND.

I bought this for my 5 year old grandaughter and she was absolutely blown away by it. She got home from pre-k just in time to see the butterflies actually emerge. Even releasing them was a huge adventure. Today I am buying one for my nephew and another one for her. It is that cool!

My daughter got this toy for Christmas, and shortly after Christmas, we sent the money for the caterpillars. Months later we realized that we never received the caterpillars (by then it was too hot to send them), so we contacted Spinmaster and told them when we sent the check and when it was cashed and that we never got any caterpillars. Their website said they would respond in 48 hours. We never received any response. Now we have an empty bug house and no bugs. We feel like we totally wasted our money.

I bought the butterfly tree house for my eight yr old grandaughter.
She loves it and now has everything for her butterfly farm.

Butterfly house was as expected.
Mailed away for Caterpillars they came in about 2 weeks they were great and easy, one was already hanging from the top the other 4 were hanging by the next day. They are now hanging in the house we are waiting for them to emerge. My 2 and 8 year old girls and my 4 year old nephew LOVED watching us move them from the cup to the house. GREAT ENTERTAINMENT the adults and kids can't wait to see and feed the butterflies.

This was such an awesome thing. My kids love it, I ordered two more for my girls to take to school and let their classes watch. SOOO much fun!!! I totally recommend!

We now have 2 of these treehouses, 1 for each of my daughters. They love them. When they aren't full of butterflies, they hold frogs, crickets, grasshoppers, anything the girls can manage to catch. We have had 1 treehouse for 2 years now and it is still in great shape. Very durable product. Only downfall is cost of larvae for old treehouse. To order 3-5 count larvae container thru Insectlore.com is about $20.

My 3 year old daughter desparately wanted this kit when she saw the commercials on TV. She was so excited when we saw it in a store that she immediately wanted it instead of the bored game we went to buy. Our butterflies just came out yesterday and she is beyond thrilled to see them and feed them. It really is a fun family experience.

The only thing I didn't like about this product is the caterpillars have to be sent for by mail for with another six dollars. I don't remember where the description said that they we not included all together. It is pretty cool how fast the caterpillars grow.

My kids love the tree house, but my problem is the company. First, they need to say how much shipping and handling on the caterpillars are. It was an extra $25! They messed up my order, and when trying to fix it, they sent it anyway. Now I have two treehouses and I only wanted one. Then the charge to my card was a different amount than the receipt they sent me. Now I am trying to fix that but their customer service line is always closed. And they won't help me online- just keep telling me to call. DON'T BUY THIS! IF ANYTHING IS WRONG YOU WILL NEVER GET IT FIXED! BUY FROM A DIFFERENT COMPANY!
