4.0 out of 5 stars Yes, it really is jazz., March 14, 2002

Unlike the previous reviewer, I am something of a jazz fan. Naturally those expecting hardcore techno are bound to be somewhat disappointed. E.O.N.'s "Spin" album is excellent. If you're into groove-type acid jazz along the lines of Directions In Groove (another Australian acid jazz band) then you're sure to love this. It's perhaps a little more melodically cerebral than D.I.G. but the quality of the performances, along with the compositions themselves, are absolutely fantastic. Opener, "Juice", sets the tone of the album and what follows doesn't disappoint. It's great stuff, and I highly recommend its purchase. Unless you're into hardcore techno.

1.0 out of 5 stars This is E.O.N. (jazz) not EON (techno), December 7, 2000

This CD is E.O.N. progressive/acid jazz from Australia, not EON the Dune sampling hardcore techno duo from the early 90's. I am not a Jazz fan, so I cannot say how good this album is.
