Great toy, Great fun!
I bought this as a gift for my 7 year old niece and she absolutely loves it! The curler really works, but I noticed that the braider was not what I expected. It may be a little challenging for a 7 year old. In any event, she loves it and has played with it every day since Christmas, so it was a smash hit!

Total Junk!
Unfortunately, I ordered this item on line from Toys-R-Us at a cost of [...], without having seen it or Pamela's December 26 review. The junky box and its equally junky contents were an embarassment when my grandniece opened her gift and I saw it for the first time. You could put together a better kit by getting real ribbons, colorful hair extensions from a dollar...

Unfortunately, I ordered this item on line from Toys-R-Us at a cost of [...], without having seen it or Pamela's December 26 review. The junky box and its equally junky contents were an embarassment when my grandniece opened her gift and I saw it for the first time. You could put together a better kit by getting real ribbons, colorful hair extensions from a dollar store, a few packages of beads, and work the braids by attaching them to a door knob, for a whole lot less than [...] ! I'm only using a "1 star" because that's the lowest rating available.

This product is a little cheesy! The hair extensions themselves are made like crap, they are very easily tangled and hard to untangle....

It's cheap and small and won't hold a child's attention for more than five minutes. The pieces are crummy and the crimping took doesn't work.

Santa brought the "Girl Crush Hair Extensions" for my nine year-old for Christmas. It's something fun for her to do and learn how to care for her hair. She's enjoying it, the kit doesn't make a mess nor require batteries and doesn't have her sitting in front of a television so I like it a lot.

Girl Crush Hair Extensions
My daughter and her friends play with this for hours. It is very easy to use and the girls love to do each other's hair.

My nieces were a little more appreciative than the bratty kids of the other reviewers. They had a blast doing eachother's hair and inviting the other neighborhood girls over to get their hair done. Very cute! Keep away from small children as my infant neice was enticed to eat the hair. Best for girls age 4-8. However, if you're raising a spoiled unappreciative brat, just save up and buy her an iphone instaed.
