Distillers Fans Will Not Necessarily Be Disappointed, June 23, 2009
Brody Dalle has matured and has taken her music with her. Gone are the spikey hair punk anthems of her previous work, which have been replaced with aggressive, catchy and even danceable at times songs. This has a little bit of everything in the 13 songs (Valium Knights is notably absent) featured on this debut album by Spinnerette. There isn't any real filler on this album and it was well worth the wait. I'm looking forward to more music by Spinnerette.

WOW! Blown away, December 23, 2009
I bought this on a whim and was blown away after the first listen. For those buying the vinyl version...it's pink and maybe 150 or 180 grams. It also comes with a coupon to download the mp3 version of the album.

Brody Dalle is Jackie Chan!, June 21, 2009
Danceable-rock with electronic over and undertones is the new "IT".
Just when I thought my love for music was over due to the horrible sound of Pop music on the radio, Spinnerette swings in and saves the day with this HOT and rocked Out "Dance" Album.
Something about this band reminds me of Shirley Manson in Garbage at times, Which is great thing.
Also if you haven't noticed, The lead singer of the band is former front woman (Brody Dalle) from the band (Distillers).
I prefer her work with this NEW band she's in, This NEW sound is more DANCE than what she was doing with The Distillers.
I've heard alot of people refer to Spinnerette as the Modern-Day (Siouxsie & The Banshees) and I most definitely can hear that.
To make this review as short as possible I'll only mention songs I "Don't" care for which would be "Ghetto Love" and "Cupid". See, That was quick, Verses talking about each song I love and why.
They just don't seem to do anything for me, Perhaps they should grow on me. The rest of the Album is amazing.
It's always a breathe of fresh air to do a five star review. I LIVE for moments like this.
