The lead single from Kylie's "Light Years" album of pop confection is best described as discotastic! A seamless mix of '70s disco and new-millenium production, the song stands out as a pop gem in a field of mediocre offerings by lesser artists. While the track itself highlights Kylie's pop brilliance, the remixes let this single down somewhat. But this is more than compensated for by the inclusion of the landmark video, directed by Dawn Shadforth. Best described as spectacularly slutty, the tongue-in-cheek clip captures the essence of Kylie's exciting image and unsurpassed pop sensibility.

I love this song and the remixes are excellent. "Spinning around" is one of Kylie's best. If you can find it, snatch this single up.

This song is better than "Cant get you out of my head" only because its got an incredibly 70's feel to it that brings back fond memories of the PWL days. From 1988 to 1994 Kylie ruled the charts and dance floors. After "Impossible Princess" this was a breath of fresh air for the HI-NRG fans. The dance floors were packed with Kylie fans again.. The remixes are fun, and the video makes you wanna get up and dance along! Thank you Paula Abdul for writing it and convincing Kylie to record it!!

It was the hottest song in germany, france, and England! Every time I turned on the TV there it was! It was even on the Radio when I came back to the states I knew I had to have it!

This is the best Kylie single released in years! "Spinning Around" has a great 70's feel to it and is filled with awesome layered vocals and percussion. Kylie knows how to pull together awesome dance tracks, but this one proves that she still has what it takes to make a U.S. comeback. An interesting tidbit is that this song is co-written by Paula Abdul...after listening to it a few times, you can really get a feel for the major dance-floor influences it contains. This song is designed to make you want to dance! If you purchased "Impossible Princess" and were disappointed (like myself), this is the Kylie you know and love...but even better! This CD contains two awesome remixes with a Goh Hotoda and Shep Pettibone feel to them. You are instantly captured by the song's hook, which is predominately showcased in the first 5-10 seconds and subtly carried throughout the rest of the song. If you aren't completely hooked, this CD contains a fun and sexy full-length video to "Spinning Around." If you've ever liked Kylie in the past, this will definitely make you a hard-core fan.
