"Spinning Tails" is a wonderful new CD by Steve Pullara and His Cool Beans Band that transcends all age groups from ages 1-100. It's a truley "Family Album." Every original song on this album is so darn catchy, that you'll be singing the hooks for days with your kids (and wanting to.) The songs are well crafted by way of poetry, delivery, and production. Steve and the boys have really spread their wings and taken flight with this one! Mr. Pullara has a good pulse in this genre' of music... and it shows. It's clearly not a hobby, nor an alternate means of music making. Many of these new songs push the envelope in family music too. It's a real collection of art. A song entltiled "A Fishtank Full of Guppies" is actually the first piece in this genre', to my knowledge, to be written with movements and in the key of "D." Each song is also playful enough to maintain everybody's interest, their not heady. Titles and tunes range from the witty cajun "Grandmas Video Camera" to the subtlety of the Japenese haiku tune in "Snowflakes Are Dancing," see the song listing.Because this CD is so strikingly different from anything out there, it may actually be the Sgt.Pepper of it's kind. I hope Mr. Pullara gets the good credit and accolades for this fine piece of work he created. Families need more music like this to challenge us, while we can come away with a good vibe and a smile!

My 13 month old daughter really enjoys this CD, and gives each song a standing ovation at its conclusion. The songs are full of energy and fun and they tell stories about everyday life. "The Little Blue Dot" is about how beautiful the earth is; something we really need to remember post-September 11th. This album is a winner.

This is a nifty and fun batch of tunes. The songs on "Spinning Tails" meet me where I am and make me want to spin them around again and again. I can relate to all the subjects in the songs.
I really enjoy Steve Pullara and His Cool Beans Bands' music.
The library even has this CD and my mom and dad like it too! That's really cool beans.

We purchased Steve's CD, Spinning Tales and our 3 year old makes us bring it along in the car wherever we go. Check out these tunes and you'll be singing them everywhere too. Steve's lyrics and music are very catchy. We've also seen him live in concert and people can't help but getting into the "Beans Band" music. You too will have "impatient feet" listening to his music. Highly recommended music for the whole family. Buy this CD, even if you don't have children!

I think that Spinning Tails is the first CD I ever bought that was categorized as a "family music" CD. I'm in my 40's, no kids and I usually listen to an "alternative rock" station on the radio. The last CD I bought for myself was Staind - Break the Cycle. I also listen to "Classic Rock" from the 60's / 70's. Spinning Tails was recommended by a friend. I bought 3 copies, intending to give 2 out to friends with young children and just keep one copy to play when I had children visiting.

I took the CD along in the car when I drove over to NJ yesterday, to listen to it before I gave it to my friends. I thought I would like it, based on the reviews. But I didn't just like it, I loved it. I listened to it 3 times straight through on my trip over and back from NJ.

I can't pick out a favorite song yet - they are all so much fun to listen to. The lyrics are great, very clever. The songs are about things that everyone is familiar with (toy trains, fish tanks, snow...), but the images the lyrics conjure up makes you think about these things in a different way. All the different styles of music flowed together nicely on the CD. Just like some of the other reviewers on Amazon.com said, I found myself smiling and singing along in the car. I am probably going to be singing Alien Babies the next time I am in the checkout line at the grocery store staring at the National Enquirer headlines.

I've decided to buy a couple more copies of this CD to give out to some other adults, who I know will appreciate the clever lyrics and upbeat tone of the music. Kids will love the CD, but you don't have to be a kid to love Spinning Tails.

Many tracks have already featured on our preschool children's radio program - (Earwax - Community Radio 2RSR, Sydney Australia) such as Grandmas' Video Camera, The Little Blue Dot and Alien Babies and we'll be including many more in upcoming shows.
Children need to listen to music and this album is educational, entertaining and well produced.

Steve Pullara and His Cool Beans Band seem only interested in creating great ecclectic family/children's music. If that's what your looking for and want to hear, buy this album.

My family loves this CD! It's really fun to listen to, while also keeping the whole family entertained. This CD is void of cutesy or even sappy lyrics which I think adds to it's broad appeal. Steve's music also spans generations in a natural way and why we like it alot! Also, nothing on this CD evokes anything purple from the jurassic era, if you know what I mean. "Spinning Tails" has a color all it's own. If family music had a color, this CD would be it! It's also a great car trip CD! You can really feel and hear the band's own enjoyment come thru on every song (a good sign.) My friends' kids made up dances to a few tunes (maybe the cockroach conga), go figure... Hey Steve, when's the next album coming out?

This is definatly a fun new family style compilation of tunes by Steve! I've even listened to it on a long trip with the windows down (with my son) in our car.

This cd is great because it mixes all different music styles and creates a meld of songs that lift your spirits and make you soar.
"Donut Man" is hysterical and my Daughter laughs through the whole song. Then you have "Snowflake are Dancing" which calms her and she usually falls asleep to it. You gotta experience the creativity and humor that Steve Pullara filters into his music. It delight both young and the more mature of us. It pulls out the kid in all of us. I recommend it highly.
