I have been using Lily Sugar'n Cream yarn for years. It is great yarn, soft cotton with a huge variety of lovely colors. I usually use it for dish cloths and pot-holders, but it can be used for any project for which you would like to use cozy soft cotton.

The main point of my review, however, is WOW - over $4 for a single skein?? This yarn sells for somewhere between $1 - $1.50 in most stores, at least in the mid-west. My advice is that if you would like to use this great yarn, shop around. I rarely say this, since I am a frequent Amazon customer, but I had to comment on this one.

I love the yarn but after I bought it from Amazon, I found the same yarn for less at a craft store chain.

This 100% cotton yarn product is very verstile. I use it on crochet projects: baby bibs, booties, washcloths, soap holders, bath mitts, kitchen dishcloths, scrubbing pad holders, lap blankets, etc.

Did not realize how small the amount was for the price. I can do a lot better at local stores.

I use a lot of worsted weight kitchen type cottons in my crocheting, and used to dislike ombres. I'm starting to like them a lot more. The Desert Rising is a current favorite for it's soft muted colors and how nicely it stitches up. I posted a picture of some apple cozies I crocheted using it and cream as the accent color.
The yarn is nice heavier weight worsted, and works up wonderfully with a size H hook or size 8 needles for dishclothes. When you use a size F hook, you get a very dense fabric that works well for stuffed animals, cozies and double layered for functional potholders. It's reasonably priced as well. The cotton is very soft. Because it is cotton and not wool, it doesn't have any bounce back for the fibers so it doesn't work well for fitted accessories or clothing. It washes very well, but might shrink some in hot water. It won't felt, and shows stitch definition well. Great for kitchen gift items like potholders, dishcloths and cozies.

I still use this yarn a lot. The Hot Orange and Hot Blue make nice Portal colors if you're crocheting for a geek, and Psychedelic is one of my favorite rainbow ombres with frequent color changes and lots of colors. They make some very bright colors and colorways and a lot of them can be matched with their solid colors.

Great color, VERY black. That nice smooth texture you expect from Lily Sugar'n Cream yarn. I'll be making this into dishcloths for a friends' kitchen and it's the perfect blackest black. It was delivered in a box (rather than padded envelope), well padded (even though yarn probably doesn't need much!), with no dust or anything on product.

The Sugar N'Cream product line is one of my go to types of yarn. I enjoy making blankets and this is a soft and fairly fine yarn that doesn't get tangled up on your hook. I started off by making baby blankets with this yarn since it is definitely a washable/dryable yarn and it is more durable then some of the finer baby yarns. Then I decided to start making some larger blankets for bigger kids. It is definitely easy to work with.

We got 8 of Suger N' Creams' types of yarn as a present for my niece. The were beautiful, but tiny. We knew they wern't going to be huge, but all together she had just enough to make a thin baby's blanket for her 1 year-old cousin.
