Our Family Testers found Spintastik to make a profound and positive impact, in not only getting the chores and responsibilities organized in the family, but motivating kids to want to do their assignment. The kids are actually excited to spin the wheel and love to see which one everyone else gets. It s family friendly and is extremely helpful, especially with two or more kids. Everyone loved it and gave it a thumbs up from each testing family...which does not happen often. Personally, I would recommend each home have one. If you want to stop the hollering, fighting, and arguing over who does what when this might be the answer you ve been seeking. --Parent To Parent, June 2006
Spintastik gets the chores done, unconditionally, without scolding, pleadings, rivalries, or naggings. Is this a miracle? Will it work? Will there be peace in the household again? Yes, Yes, and Quite Possibly! Rejoice, parents, the cavalry has arrived. You no longer have to be the heavy. Who knows, you may never see your kids eyeballs rolling nor have to hear their long, exasperated sighs again. --Port City Life, November/December, 2005
The idea is to build teamwork, give children a sense of pride in their accomplishments and show appreciation for helpful behavior. Spinning for chores eliminates arguments about who does what and means that parents don t have to be the bad guy and assign jobs. Rewarding children for doing a good job is an effective way to motivate them and reinforce good behavior. --Bangor Daily News, June 13, 2006

Spintastik was created by Jennifer Nolan in 2002, after she suffered a temporary back injury that made it essential that her four sons be more helpful around the home. She designed a tool that proved to be a fun and fair way to delegate chores and motivate her children. Jennifer joined with longtime friend Tory Dietel Hopps, mother of two, to research, design, and test the idea. They discovered that spinning for a variety of responsibilities and recognizing a job well done was both highly effective and appealing to their children.
