5.0 out of 5 stars Steven E. Anderson
This is not a typical, photo filled, glitzy biography of a renowned actress. This is a story of the heart. It is a courageous, honest, intimate self disclosure from Diane Ladd. Diane has a way to quickly connect you to each person's soul.

3.0 out of 5 stars Fun read
Gosh, I wanted to love this. I didn't, but I did like it. I saw so many great authors recommending it highly, but I felt is was okay. It was funny and cute, but felt like it contained a lot of name dropping and bragging. Not too much that I could take away to help my own life, but an enjoyable read.

This is not a typical, photo filled, glitzy biography of a renowned actress. This is a story of the heart. It is a courageous, honest, intimate self disclosure from Diane Ladd. Diane has a way to quickly connect you to each person's soul.

I have known Diane Ladd for about 10 years as a client, student and friend. As I read this book I laughed and cried, easily hearing and seeing her in front of me telling these stories. Healing is passed down through story telling. Diane does it all here. What a gift she has given for us all to enjoy. Her ups and downs are expressed here, her life's learning wisdom is shared. But more importantly her compassionate heart is tenderly written.

Diane, in her words, "tithes" my healing services to her friends, who are willing to receive. It was a delight to learn more about Diane's friends whom I have given long distance sessions, but never met in person. This book gave me another great connection with them. Diane is also quick to "jump my bones" (pg 149) when I forget, or purposely don't charge her for my work.

Read this book! Get to know this actress and experience her passion for life and all that life has brought to Diane Ladd. Thank you, Diane, for putting this into print.

This review is from: Spiraling Through The School Of Life: A Mental, Physical, and Spiritual Discovery (Hardcover)
This is a very down to earth , honest book. It will make you feel that you have known diane Ladd all of her life, and that you are chatting with her at the kitchen table. It is uplifting, empowering and and a wonderful example of what you can do and apply to your own life situations. A great addition to your personal library.

This book is a must read for anyone interested in improving the quality of their life, and having a great time doing it.

Touching and heartfelt, Ms Ladd is an amazing lady who has steered herself through an incredible life of ups and downs (her spiral) and all that fame and fortune can bring AND take away.

It is an enchanting, wonderfully written autobiography whose wisdom left me with renewed hope and tools to better my own life.

5.0 out of 5 stars Very interesting, December 22, 2008

I enjoyed the book immensely. Woven among various stories, Diane gives cautionary tales about the dangers of certain drugs, drugs that people think their docs are helping them with, but turn out to be very dangerous (vioxx, etc.). Diane also tells it like it is re show biz, that actors often go without work for long periods of time, and can run out of funds. She is a very lucky lady, to have survived serious health challenges, like her ectopic pregnancy that resulted in a grave condition. This book will also make you think about "other lives," a topic that I think a bit far out, but if some folks can access those, more power to them. The book is highly readable, and I like it because it's not overly long.

This review is from: Spiraling Through The School Of Life: A Mental, Physical, and Spiritual Discovery (Hardcover)
diane ladd writes with a homeyness that feels like you're sitting with your favorite eccentric aunt. some may be put off by the new agey stuff, but they usually are:) personally having experienced some of what ms. ladd writes about this was not an issue for me. this is a joyous, quick read.

5.0 out of 5 stars INSIGHTS FROM WONDERFUL DIANE LADD, July 4, 2006
This review is from: Spiraling Through The School Of Life: A Mental, Physical, and Spiritual Discovery (Hardcover)
Dianne Ladd's autobiography is honest, funny, heartbreaking and sometimes astounding. She has the courage to tell her life story with wit and honesty. The story she has to tell, of the remarkable miracles and gifts that have changed the course of her life, is profound. It's also just a very educational and

compelling read. Wonderful!

Diane's book only proves that when it comes to life and health you should leave no stone unturned.

It is a facinating, thought provoking, and entertaining read. You will be challenged and find it hard to put down. Diane writes not only from her heart, but from hard earned experience that will captivate you.

1.0 out of 5 stars Disappointed, June 5, 2007
Previous reviewers gave this book five stars and high praises, which is why I purchased it. However, after reading this book, I can't fathom why it was rated so positively. It's written in a "People Magazine" style, glossy and superficial. It's an easy read, good for an airplane trip or a day at the beach, but it's not going to raise anyone's consciousness. I would have appreciated more in-depth discussion of her healing and metaphysical experiences.
