Hawkwind - 'Spirit Of The Age: An Anthology 1976-1984' (Atomhenge / Cherry Red), January 20, 2009
Nicely assembled 3-CD box set with a total of 43 tracks - including a few (I'm assuming, several all-new mixes) of old songs. Here, you get tunes from their albums 'Astounding Sounds, Amazing Music' ('76), 'Quark Strangeness & Charm' ('77), 'Hawklords - 25 Years On' ('78), 'Levitation' ('80), 'Choose Your Masques' ('82) and 'Church Of Hawkwind' ('82). Comes with extended and informative liner notes from (who eles?) but Hawkwind biographer Ian Abrahams. A must-have for all die-hards and maybe new fans that may have not have yet heard every one of the lp's I've listed.
