"Interfacing with the spirit world is fairly easy.... The lands beyond the veil are part and parcel of our nature," says Penczak (City Magick). Here he makes a convincing case for such a world, detailing a multitude of ways not only to contact, but also to communicate with the entities who inhabit it. He gently argues that the spiritual dimension (heaven and hell in the most simplified forms) perennially exists in every culture, and that we, too, are spiritual beings. ("If our spirits are here, there are many other spirits, in other realms, experiencing other things.") Penczak leaves no spirit untouched: angels, ascended masters, deities, ancestors, soul groups, power animals, elementals, devas, constructs and ghosts can be contacted by such means as ritual, channeling, shape-shifting, riding (as in Voodoo) and walking in, to name but a few. Penczak wisely does not throw the door open to any and all such spiritual entities. He repeatedly provides checkpoints and signposts to discern which spirits are interested in one's higher good, and he emphatically rejects abdicating one's spiritual authority in any case. It would be hard to imagine a more complete guide for getting to know such companions who want to help, befriend or teach us. Christopher Penczak is an author, teacher, and healing practitioner. Rooted firmly in the traditions of modern Witchcraft, he draws from the timeless wisdom of many cultures in the creation of new techniques and traditions.

Christopher Penczak, is fastly becoming recognized for his ability to take very complex topics and make them understandable, and useful in the everyday world. If you wish to journey to the other side, access, and use your spirit allies, this book will enable you to do so. I highly recommend the Inner Temple, The Outer Temple, and The Witche's Shield, as well. The Inner Temple and companion cd's have changed my life.
Christopher is not only an author, he is a very well known witch, he teaches, and guides others to do what is in the highest good of all, harming none. This author is going to bust through the charts..just keep reading and buying, you'll see.

Spirit Allies: Meet Your Team From The Other Side by practicing witch, Reiki Master and Essence Consultant Christopher Penczak is a thoroughly reader friendly and informative instructional guide to the metaphysical art of communicating with spiritual entities beyond the veil of ordinary life. Focusing on using connections to the spirit world to empower oneself and improve one's life, Spirit Allies is an engrossing and amazing volume, written in a straightforward, easy-to-understand style accessible to all readers regardless of their experience with metaphysics. A motivational and seminal work, Spirit Allies is highly recommended reading for students of metaphysics, parapsychology, and occult studies.

This is an excellent book that presents many different approaches to spituality and practices without obvious bias and does so in an easily understandable and non-threatening way.

I totally disagree with the other reviewer who thinks that some of the exercises are dangerous. As is said in the book - "...if you do not feel comfortable [with any certain aspect(s)] do not attempt it..." Energy follows intent.

It is not only within ourselves, but our responsibility to gain spiritual understanding of ourselves, our place in the universe. This book offers tools that all of us can use to get started on our own journeys, or help us along ones we are already travelling.

Incredible job and very inspiring. If I could have written a book like this I hope that I would have done as well. Bravo!
