Dr. Hans Holzer's THE SPIRIT CONNECTION teaches the scientific method behind the premise that the 'other side' exists, providing the insights of an early ghost hunter who has written over a hundred books on the topic. Documented cases and supportive scientific facts lends to Dr. Holzer's view of passing.

Being a very big supporter of the late Hans Holzer, I was surprised to learn that not only was he very low in money despite being the author of over 100+ books, but that this book was the farthest thing from a best seller. In this book he even tells us how he had to, at one time, borrow 4,000 bucks to get his teeth fixed. I was shocked. I thought he was rolling in dough.

Putting all that aside, this book is very important to me. Over the past 50 years, Mr. Holzer has been writing book after book about his journey into the paranormal. He never claimed to be psychic, or to have the answers. He was a scientist through and through, and he used the scientific method whenever he could. To me, this makes his case all the more credible.

In this book, Hans Holzer takes a step back from the science after 50 years and tells us what he has gathered personally from all of this. Not just about ghosts, but what he has learned from mediums and also the meaning of life. He comes clean and says that while he was not a Spiritualist, he knows a lot of their values and truths are true and goes into an in depth discussion of life. He hasn't just gathered books and evidence over the past 50 years, but also wisdom that I think we can all learn from.

I have read all of Dr. Holzer's books, beginning when I was a teenager (some years ago...okay, so maybe a few more than some!) and took out every book of his from the local library. I have been a fan of his for years and so looked forward to reading this book. It was a very quick read being only about 120 pages but a little pricey for the book length.

His book claims to tell you what life is like on the other side but it is very general at best and his theory on how the Other Side runs sounds like being in the military.

He repeats things over and over throughout the book and also contradicts himself such as initially saying a Near Death Experience is only experienced through going up a tunnel, while anything else is just an "ordinary out of body" experience. Later on in the book he says the opposite, that not all NDE's begin with going up a tunnel, which is confusing.

His chapter on instructing one how to make contact with your superiors on the Other Side ends up really being only one paragraph. But if this little bit of instruction works, then my hard earned cash will have been well spent.
