5.0 out of 5 stars Excellent guide for strengthening your spirituality., August 21, 1998
By A Customer
This review is from: The Spirit-Controlled Woman: An Enduring Classic for Our Changing Times (Paperback)
Beverly LaHaye's book is an excellent guide for the woman looking to regain or strengthen her spirituality. The author helps the reader to recognize her own temperament (or personality base) and determines the strengths and weaknesses of her temperament. By first recognizing her weaknesses, a woman can then work to improve her faults, bringing more tranquility and peace into her life. LaHaye encourages readers to seek spirituality through God and the Bible, and she shows how the search can transform their lives. She gives specific recommendations to become a more spiritual, and thus a more tranquil and happier, person. I would highly recommend this book to all women, especially those who are experiencing unhappiness and turmoil in their lives.

This review is from: The Spirit-Controlled Woman: An Enduring Classic for Our Changing Times (Paperback)
This book has two versions, the original and a newer one. I had the original which is what I am reviewing and ordered it for a friend and got the newer version which is not as good for what I wanted it for. So I took it back and found the original at Amazon...yeah! It is wonderful. It brings the Holy Spirit into daily life where it belongs and really lets you know your faults and how to intenitionally and intensively pray about them and with the Holy Spirit's help, controll them! A Must have.

4.0 out of 5 stars Practical Help For The Christian Wife, August 25, 2002

Mrs. S. Connell "booksbegone" (Hewitt, Texas United States) - See all my reviews
(REAL NAME)
This book by Beverly LaHaye though written some years back has some practical help for the Christian woman to be what God has called her to be. The book begins by giving the 4 basic temperaments of women and some character traits and positives and negatives of each temperament. This allows us to see our strengths and our weaknesses so that we can work with the Holy Spirit to become Christlike. The book covers many areas of how a wife needs to interact with her husband and her attitude toward him. There is also insight and some instruction for growing spiritually. This book is helpful to the Christian wife.
