Anyone who is seeking a solid walk with the Holy Spirit needs this book. Derek Prince's explanation of scripture and how it pretains to our walk is so simple THE WAY JESUS TAUGHT! Spirit filled believers needing direction, this book provides guidance and direction that is examplified by the teachings of Jesus Himself. If you are reading this God has lead you to the right book for your new or renewing walk.

The Spirit-Filled Believer's Handbook is a must read for any Christian seeking a deeper understanding of the fundamental doctrines of Christ. Derek Prince breaks down the elementary principles of Christ listed in Hebrews 6:1-2. He starts this book with an introduction to the Bible and moves on into the 6 fundamental doctrines of Christ. Reading this book definitely took me to a new level in Christ. It's not a book you read one time and discard, it is a reference tool.

Not only has this helped me with questions on the main doctrines of the Christian faith, but when others have questions, I can use this as a helpful tool because of the clarity of presentation, faithulness to Scripture without intellectualizing. This would be useful for group study or personal study.

Well, I have not read this particular book but I have read many other Derek Prince books and I make it an effort to listen to every tape of his.

I would like to disagree with a statement from a reader from SIngapore (below) that Derek Prince lacks a deeper understanding of the Bible. Quite Contrary! Every time I listen to Derek I am AMAZED by his understanding of the scripture. He is, according to my oppinion, the best Bible teacher out there. Also consider this: Derek is an outstanding scholar of both Greek and Hebrew, and also he spent many many years in a deditcated service to the Lord.

Let me say this: every Derek's tape's or book adds to my spiritual life and understanding of the scriptures immeasurably. That's why I give it five stars without reading it ( well, I know what it is about since Derek refers to it in other studies of his).

Make your own oppinions, but give this book a chance! God bless you!

I read this book over a 52 week class study about 5 years ago. It changed my life. If you read this book, you'll see that D. Prince has a gifting for teaching the Word. He teaches straight from the scriptures. This book changed my life. This book is for the person who wants to seriously understand the basic theology of Christianity. You won't have to wonder about what you believe after reading this book. My bet is that you'll agree with D. Prince on 98% of things once you see how he uses the scriptures to teach you. After reading this book you'll know how to seek God on the other 2%. Don't let a negative review keep you away from this book, it is really really good. I lost my copy and am buying it again to keep for reference.

Very comprehensive and invaluable to put things into better perspective. I am not that much into theology, as much as living for and loving my Lord. But this makes for very good reading - for the newly saved and those who have walked with the Lord for a long time. Really nice to have in your library. Just praise Him!

I believed Derek Prince is a Spirit Filled person and is a God fearing person, however, he tends to interpret the Bible in a far too simple manner. He tends to quote the Bible out of context in serveral chapters and this is mis-leading.

I get the impression that Derek Prince, though convicted in his believe lack the deeper understanding of the bible. He is too literal.

His style of writting also bring forth very little excitiment

However, the overall message is very Good and i am sure anyone who reads this book will not go away empty handed.
