This review is from: Spirit Fitness ZE110 Elliptical Trainer (Sports)
I paid $799 somewhere else for this trainer. Honestly it was the best one at demo. It is supposed to be quiet, which is not, it is brand new and it has a squeaky sound, also it seems that the wheel is not well algined so the plastic cover scracthes an internal bolt twice per revolution. The included tools are a joke, fortunately I had my pro Craftsman set on hand. Now the good things... it is VERY comfortable, feels great and smooth. I used to own an Orbitreck bought from an infomercial, it lasted almost two years until it fell completely apart, now that I decided to go for real I come upon a wide range of pricess and qualities for Ellipticals, I went to try the LifeFitness which was owesome but the price was outrageous, then I was decided to get a good one but on a budget, according to some reviews I shouldn't get anything for less than $500usd and should go for over $1000, unless I was on a budget, thus the reason to get this model for $700-$800. For the price, it feels sturdy and confortable. The console is easy to use and manage the programs. It needs a 110VAC connection, which is not a problem but you have to have it close to an outlet. Took me about 2 hours to fully assemble it. The manual is really bad, not terrible but bad, it lacks some information. I wish there could be some more explanation about the included programs or how to get the most of it.
In Summary, I think I can live with the squeaky sounds, anyway I am listening to my iPod when excercising but I hope I do not disturb my family on the next room. The quality of the excercise seems really good and seems to protect my joints, as well keeps me on my target zone for heart rate confortably and longer, much better than running outdoors.
