Book Description

November 15, 2008
Neil Bethell Sinclair underwent a neurological transformation that he came later to understand as the full activation of the Kundalini. The overwhelming force of this activation transformed his brain and psyche into that of a poet, a mystic, and a visionary. The transformation took many years and resulted in various psychic abilities. In 1974, Sinclair began to write poetry spontaneously. During this time, his intellect became intoxicated by the continuous flow of concepts and psychic energy circulating throughout his body. The Spirit Flies Free is a collection of poems that plumb the depths of spiritual enlightenment and encompass the entirety of human experience, from politics to love, from current events to psychology.

More About the Author

I am a writer and poet living in Northern California, actively seeking a way to bring environmental sanity to the world through spiritual activation and environmental science.

My interests include the I Ching, Tai Chi, Yoga, backpacking, photography, astrology, alternative medicine, progressive politics, and integrative spiritual and religious thought.

I have worked in the fields of solar energy, electric cars, advanced electric motors, and other environmental technologies. I look forward someday to becoming a spiritual teacher, when I know more. Among current plans is writing an autobiographical account of a life lived for the past 4 decades under the influence of a fully activated kundalini.

5.0 out of 5 stars Kundalini inspires Creativity, January 16, 2009
By
This review is from: The Spirit Flies Free: The Kundalini Poems (Paperback)
New information on the power of Kundalini is appearing everyday. A prime example is Neil Sinclair's new book, The Spirit Flies Free: The Kundalini Poems. This book is inspirational in two senses: 1) His poems leave the reader inspired; 2) His poems are the result of an inspired vision.

If you know about Kundalini, or have had a Kundalini experience, you've probably felt a wave of creativity sweep over you at some point. This happened in Neil Sinclair's case. His poems sprung from nowhere; they took shape out of the ether. Yet they address many issues, sometimes acting like alternative headlines for the media stories of doom and gloom. They're fun, they're witty, and they force you to reflect.

Does this kind of inspiration just happen? Or does it take cultivating? In Neil's case it happened after a spontaneous Kundalini awakening. But they're are many ways of activating Kundalini and its attendant creative powers. Gopi Krishna's book Kundalini: The Evolutionary Energy in Man is one of the first relevant case studies on using meditation to awaken the creative power of Kundalini. The Backward-Flowing Method: The Secret of Life and Death provides additional information on making Kundalini permanent.

The Spirit Flies Free: The Kundalini Poems adds to the growing field of knowledge around Kundalini and the creative powers it bestows on those who awaken it.
