I was so happy to stumble onto this cd a couple weeks ago. I didn't know it had been out for several months. I ordered it immediately. I have been a fan of Sophia for about two and a half years. I discovered her ethereal music by sampling Chakra Healing chants, on a borders listening station. I was mesmerized by her glorious voice and deeply spiritual music before the first track finished playing. A year later I called the 1-800 number that is listed on her cds. To my delight, Sophia answered the phone herself. Sophia is such a warm and down to earth lady. She is very gracious and easy to talk to. We talked about music and spiritual things for 45 minutes. I decided I loved her voice and music so much, I went ahead and ordered all her other albums.
Her recordings are such a joy to listen to. Her music is playing on my stereo several days a week. Sophia's music is utterly unique. She has a golden voice, that is very powerful, and yet can sing very soft and sweetly to express peace & serenity. Her voice is purity itself with almost no vibrato. I must say she has one of the most beautiful voices I have ever heard, and I have heard hundreds of famous sopranos. Her music is a little hard to describe for me, it is a very eclectic and always sounds organic and natural, with a plethora of acoustic and exotic instruments beautifully accompaning her divine voice. Her albums also offer some lovely sound effects like, thunder and waterfalls, that are included on a few select tracks for a nice heart opening effect.
On Spirit Healing Chants just like Sophia's earlier albums the vocals are very well done and recorded. On all her songs she sings with such emotion and intelligence, feeling every word she sings and expressing with ever word profound love and wisdom. Sophia is joined by a choir and various guest singers and musicians. Sophia's playing of the angel harp(zither), is alone worth buying the cd for.

The music is hypnotic, magical, sacred, and very healing. It releases all the tension in my body and all my worries wash away. This is one of the most beautiful albums every composed with the intent to honor the sacred feminine, and to align and heal the mind, body, and spirit.
Anyone who likes the music of deva premal, enya, loreena mckennitt ,jaya lakshmi, snatam kaur, tori amos, steven halpern, or any of the other great goddesses, will probably love this cd.

All her influences are evident on this album. From classical music and classical voice, jazz, folk ,new age, world music, and indian music.

P.S. Even over the age of 60, Sophia's voice and music surpasses most of the music that is out there. Sophia deserves to be much more well known than she is, but of course most of us know that the mainstream music business is not really about the music. I pray that the goddess will continue to bless Sophia, and that she will continue to make such heavenly music for many years to come.

The hole CD is good, but if you really want to hear something great, go direct to the last song, this song worth every penny of the hole price, this song is far beyond any review anyone can write, this song is so far away any word. This is a truly beautiful hymn, Sophia's voice is strong and clear and full of emotion, This song alone worth buying the cd, it's really hypnotic and addictive

If you want to make yourself a favor, please buy this CD, I'm agree with Viva Caballe Sophia deserves to be much more famous than she is...

What a beautiful tribute to the Divine Feminine! Sophia's enchanting voice will take you on a sensuous, spiritual journey. The songs are long enough to offer a healthy session of meditation but not repetitive to the point of boring if you're just looking for something wonderful to listen to. Highly recommended!

I have been listening to Sophia's last release, Chakra Healing Chants since it came out a couple years ago. It is one of my absolutely favorite CDs. She has a way of creating a very sensual and healing space in her music. When I bought this one I thought it was probably not going to live up to Chakra Healing Chants, but I can say that after listening to it for a week, it is as good or possibly even better! Her vocals sound even more amazing on this one and the songs or very hypnotic, perfect for everything from meditation, yoga, massage or tantra. I highely recommend this gorgeous CD.

The CD arrived in a very timely fashion. It is a beautiful CD to soothe the soul.

This record somehow is somewhow spiritually meditative and uplifting, while at the same time, sensuous and good for moving. I use it for yoga and it goes great with a massage.

If you want to transport yourself into a place from within and be cradled and loved, Spirit Healing Chants is for you. It gives you a sense of being on a sacred journey of healing. You'll love to relax, meditate and simply let your body and mind be healed through this musical experience. You will love this release by Sophia. She is magnetic.
