While not quite the vocal acrobat as Aster Aweke, Netsanet has energy and vocal charm in abundance. Her voice is somewhat more rounded than Aster's which makes her singing especially ingratiating. The music on this disc also shows its roots in the great Ethiopian music of the 70s and avoids the blandness of most contemporary world music. The recording is above average as well. I hope this disc is reissued and am sorry that more music by Ms Mellesse isn't available.
