The Spirit of Sonship by John Kingsley Alley had been on our book stand at church for a while. During a discussion about sonship with our Pastor Kevin, he said that of all the books he had read on the subject, this one had a greater impact on him. I had handled the book several times over a few months before I finally obeyed the Spirit to take it home to read. I should not have been so amazed as I was at the impact it had on my life and and that of my husband's. Right from the introduction and on through God began to sooth away the sorrows of a wounded heart. A lonely heart that though I had Jesus I didn't know that it was the cry of the fatherless child I had been that was so broken; not just in the natural but in the spiritual realm also. Just because one had a dad doesn't mean one had a father. God began to reveal all the negative thoughts I had about myself as the true lies they were. Spirit of Sonship has revealed my Father in heaven in a light I had not seen him before. God has used this author to bring a message of welcome home daughter (son) of God. What a pleasure it is has been to get to know my Heavenly Father in a deeper and increased fuller measure. I give all the praise and glory to God and none to the author except to thank you for your obedience for co-authoring this book with Holy Spirit. Well done!
