This is one of my favorite Arkenstone CD's! The songs range from cheerful and full of energy to soft and haunting. There are NO songs on this CD to skip. They are all excellent! Lots of flutes and drums, as it IS a Native American-inspired work. I have never seen the movie this is a Soundtrack for, but if I find it I will buy it... it must be wonderful! This CD will take you to another world, and you will enjoy the ride as much as I did!

I love this album! I picked it up at a pawn shop for only $5. Obviously, who ever sold it didn't know it's true value. This music will inspire you when your sad, and relax you when your stressed, and just plain enjoyable when you want to listened to music that is art.
Of coarse with all Arkenstone music it must be played on a good stereo to truly absorb the genius of his work. My hope is that others will enjoy what I would describe as beautiful music.

I have many of David Arkenstone's works. And they are all top notch musical productions. If you are into the very best New Age Music available, you will not be dissappointed with "Sprit Wind" or any of David's other musical compositions. I have many music CD's and these are my all time favorites. Forrest J.

This is the kind of album you want to come home to after a long hard day. The music takes you away to a place thats not in this world of rushing and fighting, it is the kind of music that makes you want to light candles and incence, when listning to. at its worst, invigorating and at its best, captivating.

"Spirit Wind" is the closest I can come to seeing an Indian village pre-Anglo; it makes me feel like I was there once, going about all the business of living in an Indian village, while evoking also the sorrow of change. I often feel that life was better then, with all its hardships; Indian life was feast or famine - when there was provender, there was a lot of it; when there was nothing, they starved. And yet I always feel, listening to this music, that such a simple, good life was infinitely more rewarding than what we have now.

This is what I get from this music, a celebration of life on the plains. This album is another favourite of mine to write to; no matter what the topic, it creates an imaginative backdrop that makes my ideas flow. Mr Arkenstone is a genious of the instrumental genre, and his composing is always exciting. I can always recognize his work, without it ever being static or repetitive. Some riffs are familiar, but he always makes them work a different way in each album.

Absolutely one of his best. I highly recommend it.

This is the first cd of Arkenstone I ever owned, and I must say it is as well done as I expected it to be. The title was well chosen and descriptive of the music therein. It is a nature theme as is many in the New Age genre, and reminds me of a movie soundtrack and takes the listener on a journey that few players can transport you thru.

Speaking of incense (see below review), my copy of this CD came with some. Hee hee. Kinda stinky. Don't let that deter you, though.

This is different from David's other stuff, because it's actually a soundtrack he did for a film. It's a soundtrack like no other, though! Like his other stuff, it has great melody and everything else. I think the movie bombed (I've never heard of it), but if you didn't know it was a film soundtrack, I don't think you'd ever guess it. Very good. Basically ALL of his stuff is very good, though. I plan to buy everything except the compilation CDs.
