3.0 out of 5 stars The Spirits of Nature
An interesting little book. Most of it draws heavily on an Eastern view of the cosmos, if this is your view you'll love it.
I found it to be somewhat preachy, all knowing, all wise, at times overbearing.A worthwhile book but not great.

It's hard to find a book as profound and interesting as "The Spirits of Nature", It's marvelous, astouning, beutifully written, a treasure for those readers who really appreciate good books!.

I found that what makes it a truly treasure is that it gives you a tool to re-discover a real world of nature spirits that live near to you, which is rarely found in any other book of this type and personally, it touched me when I discovered that a complete description of the Guardian Angel is also included, this is something that each one of us have somehow always believed in and a great topic to discuss and share with.

It's also an exhaustive reseach by the author among all the ancient cultures, supporting his arguments with solid bases found in civilizations as important as the Egyptian or the Mayan.

"The Spirits of Nature" is a book about fairies, elves, gnomes, and angels, but on all it is a book where you can find a valid significance of the phenomenon that happens all around you and that the modern science cannot explain. I never found something half as good as this, It's worthy!.

5.0 out of 5 stars Spirits of Nature is A Profound Reading Experience, April 23, 2001

The Spirits of Nature by Dr. Livraga is a must read for those individuals interested in a truly comprehensive approach to this type of knowledge. The first two chapters of the book set a tone for the rest of the book and displays an enormous vision which the writer posseses which is both philosophical and practical.

There is a chapter where the author explains how to see these invisible beings and even how to communicate with them. The book goes far beyond the superficial and superstitious, so often found in "esoteric books" and explains everything with seriousness, thoroughness and a wonderful gentleness and appreciation for this magical world.

The book is a treasure and is highly reccomended.

5.0 out of 5 stars Excellent !!!, May 12, 2001

I have read this book twice already! There is so much beauty and knowledge in it! The book explains the concept of the Universe as a living being, how everything, no matter how small or large, has a Soul. It talks about the esoteric meaning of the Four Elements (Earth, Water, Air, Fire). The Spirits of Nature also explains how the Macrocosm or the Universe relates to the Microcosm or the human being. After reading this book you will be able to tune in and listen to the voices of Nature. Have you ever stared at the stars at night? or contemplated the perfection of a rose? This is indeed a sacred language of Nature and Dr. Livraga, the author, once again shows us the beauty of this lost language.

5.0 out of 5 stars An amazing book, July 12, 2009
This review is from: The Spirits of Nature (Paperback)
This book is a tool that teaches about connecting with nature and to understand the beings that exist in nature, they are not human like us, of course, but nevertheless they are beings and as such they have their own mission in this world that we share.
