If you like jazz that IS NOT exactly polite...., December 11, 2004

Michael Musillami is the most underated jazz guitarist/composer on the scene today. Aside from being my music instructor, Musillami is clearly a uncompromisingly unique musician. This album is fantastic. The octet is perfectly composed: vibes, drums, percussion, piano, guitar, trombone, sax and bass. The percussion especially stands out; it works so well with the Brazilian flavor of the record. Peter Madsen shows why he is one of the best piano players currently in the world - absolutely mind-boggling. As always, Musillami's playing is tasteful but raw. Favorite tracks: Squid Fantasy, Circles, Walking Wounded. BUY THIS ALBUM AND SUPPORT REAL JAZZ!!!!!!
