This small, but valuable book is a formulary for the cleansing and protection of the body, your animals, and the environment in your house and office. He discusses the magical properties of the different types of water, herbs, herbal combinations, and tools, such as eggs and mothballs, which can be used to remove negative energies and establish energy screens for psychic protection. Included are spells and other formulas that you can use to focus your intent to increase positivity and abundance in your life and surroundings. Included are recipes for baths, incense mixtures, and floor washes. This may be the only book to my knowledge that collects this type of information in one place. I have used many of the procedures myself. For example, I used the "egg procedure" (where you rub an egg all over the body of your pet, and then flush the uncracked egg down the toilet) to remove negative "vibes" from my cats to lighten up their attitudes about a new home to which we had moved). I found the principles of cleansing and protection for the various methods described by the author to be both easy to do and quite effective in their results. Mickaharic does emphasize repeatedly throughout the book, that it is *not* wise to improvise any of the methods and components (such as herbs) described in the book, without completely understanding the magical implications, meanings and intent of each part of the spell. It is my guess that the author is from Eastern Europe based on his knowledge of traditional herbal floor washes and fumigation recipes to keep one's home environment psychically purified.

There arent many books available on the market that deal soley with spiritual cleansing. I was happy to find this one, Draja Mickaharic has given the reader a basic understanding of spiritual and psychich protection as well as guidelines on either choosing a spiritual practioner to work with or perhaps being one yourself. I especially liked the authors reccomended system of treatment for general therapy. The author gives the following seven suggestions.

1. Read this entire book and make note of what you feel applies to your particular problem

2. Take the beer bath for Malochia (evil eye)

3. Quiet your house with ammonia and the salt floor wash. Begin using amonia in the drains.

4. Begin sleeping with water. (a glass of water under the bed to catch harmfull energy)

5. Investigate any particular problem and take remedial baths, use incense, etc.

6. Keep your house quiet by frequent physical housecleaning and floor washings.

7. Begin systematic and regula prayers to your Creator according to your religous beliefs, praying on a daily basis.

The whole book is like this, filled with helpfull suggestions and workings which can be utalized by anyone. As a side note, if you work with the catholic saints i would like to reccomend HELPING YOURSELF WITH SELECTED PRAYERS in addition to this book. Together the two books contain a wealth of spiritual help.

I have owned and used this book for years. It is important to note that when reading this book, it is not written in a typical "new age" style, nor is it written for those of the pagan faiths. This book is spiritual first aid for the spiritual person, and a first step for those aspiring to be spiritual practitioners. The author, Draja Mickaharic has given the reader several methods of psychic protection against all manner of harmful and negative energies floating around out there. I highly reccomend this book, and hope that you will get as much out of it as I did.

Those who think magic is nothing more than psychology, visualization, symbolism, and going through theatrics will probably not care for this no-nonsense practical guide to generic folk-magic cleansing and protection practices. Those who recognize the real ancient techniques and natural laws of sympathetic and contageous magic will find this to be a treasure trove of information and help.

I think it's a great book to cleanse and protect oneself, especially from negativity. Many choices which is always a great thing and items are easy to find.

I love this book and have bought it for many of my friends and relatives!

It is written to be used by those who have no formal spiritual or magickal training, giving them a spiritual first-aid kit based in many time honored folk-remedies from around the world for many common experiences and situations that one may find themselves faced with that result in various kinds of discomfort and unease. Those who suspect they have a problems on their hands from an energetic or spiritual source can easily use the methods outlined.

Those more experienced practitioners who read this book, however, may find some aspects of it that may well wrankle. For instance there are several herbal entries in which very little information is given outside of one particular perspective on its usage - that is that one can use it to help quelch the desire to change their religious affiliation.

While leaving one's faith for another should never been taken lightly, I feel the implied message that doing so is a bad thing to be annoying and arrogant. I was miserable in the faith of my birth, and finding my way out and into a path that was suited for me is one of the best desicions I've ever made. Since many mainstream faiths already program their followers to be fearful of other paths, leaving can be hard enough without some book further implying that wishing to do so is a condition that one should try to "cure".

That being said, besides that and a few other blurbs that made my blood boil, I highly recommend this text as one that presents many simple methods of effectively cleansing one's self and environment of unwanted spiritual energies.

It amazes me to see how so many people who claim to be spiritual no nothing about spiritual cleaning. Spiritual cleaning has been a practiced used by all cultures and all people around the world for thousands of years. This is why it amazes me because there are all kinds of spiritual cleansings that exist and some of the most popular ones are listed in the bible.

The author does an excellent job discussing the basics of how to do a spiritual cleaning. He covers some of the traditional practices from his own country as well as in the New World, such as the use of the egg for cleansing. (Which has been used all throughout the world). This is a greater starter book in understanding the metaphysics regarding spiritual cleaning.

This book is really amazing! I didn't really believe in this kind of stuff until I saw it happen.

Let me tell you. I was dating this woman for a while but things didn't go well so we ended the relationship. But, I kept having thoughts and ideas about this woman. I felt really strange but I didn't want to date this woman any more.
So, I got this book from a Brazilian lady I knew and just read it to see what it was about. There was a bath about ending that psychic energy experienced after a relationship. I didn't want to her my ex just stop thinking about her. I just wanted to wash away that aspect and get on with the rest of my my life. So, I took this bath and didn't think nothing about it.

Then a few days later, I got a call from my ex asking if I had done anything to my body. That she felt like something had broken the tie between us.

I was amazed! Now, I incorporate this into my life because it deals with simple little things that help keep us protected. I recommend this to anyone, even if things are great to use.

I really wish I had come across all of the books by this author several years ago. Then Amazon wouldn't quite have as much of my money as they do!

There is a clarity and a delightful lack of the condescension that one so often finds in many authors writing in this genre today. His writing style is fluid and the instructions and cautions are presented in a simple and clearly stated manner.

I have 6 of his books now and, I've just discovered a couple titles that I don't have already so Amazon will be getting some more money.

This book is a great refrence to diffrent ways to protect your self from unintentional phychic attacks. The evil eye and genreal negative vibrations are given quick remidies. He went breifly over phycic vampires and "black" magicians. I found his idea of some one being controlled was very acurate. Every one always thinks it is what they want to do. A must for the magicaly minded and just plan any one with a mind.
