An experience of Ignatian spiritual direction,
By Elizabeth (Wisconsin) - See all my reviews
This review is from: Spiritual Direction: An Invitation to an Abundant Life (Paperback)
A Jesuit priest describes his approach to spiritual direction with interesting examples (details changed for purposes of anonymity) and insight drawn from his years of spiritual direction ministry. A definitely Ignatian approach, with emphasis on scriptural reflection and discernment.
This book would be of interest to pastoral counselors or spiritual directors, but also to ordinary people seeking direction for spiritual growth or simply wanting to learn more about Christian discernment for their life and spiritual journey. Accessibly written and a quick read. There is a short foreword by well known spiritual writer Henri Nouwen. |
