I first came across one of Sanaya Roman's books back in the mid-90's and I remember clearly the first part of the book said, once you begin reading this book, you will never forget it, because it will change your life forever. 'Spiritual Growth', and all her books give you the profound knowledge that everyone already knows, but just needs to remember. These books offer the guidelines to the human mind, body and spirit without the cloud of fear, guilt and submission that religions require. Everything about your life is a choice, and everything in your life is a reflection of you, that you have brought to yourself. Understanding this energy element is the key to taking control of your own life, which is real internal power. Knowing that problems in your life are challenges YOU have created to enable your growth, and if you don't learn from that lesson, you will be stuck in that loop until you do so. By the way, this is not a New Age religion book nor am I a New Ager, this is a book about energy and our place within that energy. Once you have placed yourself in a religion, you have imprisioned and limited your growth as a spiritual being. If someone asks you what you believe in, the answer is simple...."Energy" After you have read the entire series from Sanaya Roman, you are then ready to take on David Icke and his book "Children Of The Matrix", who will expand your spiritual consciousness to its breaking point. Remember your true self and realize the only real truth is love, everything else is an illusion.

Until two years ago I was not aware that there is such a thing as the higher self. Then I met a teacher who taught me:

There is a you that existed long before the you that you know now
When you were born you were as one with this you
Which is the perfect you
This part of you is the higher and wiser part of you
You were separated as you grew
As your ego developed you lost touch with this part of you

As you developed the beliefs that you thought would sustain you in this material world
You lost sight of this you who remained constant and unchanged
Perhaps you did not know this you still existed
Instead you struggled and suffered in this world
You lost sight of your higher purpose,
Your fears prevented you living your dreams
If you could be the you that you always wanted to be this is the you you would be

This part of you has many names, the authentic self or the higher self, and is perfect, perfect physique, perfect health perfect love, free of all your imperfections
Part of your mission on earth is to reconnect with your higher self so you can realise your higher purpose.

Imagine meeting your higher self and then merging with that energy, and reclaiming that part of you. Your higher self will guide you with unconditional love and wisdom as you follow the higher path. As you do this, you feel an increase in energy, perhaps some tingling as your vibration naturally increases.

This practical book teaches you how to connect with the wisdom of your Higher Self - with the Light and bring it into your daily life - by living it and expressing it. The process brings you into a state of Oneness and you being to live your life from this awareness, divinely guided and expressing the will of God / the will of your Higher Self - rather than the will of your human ego. You merge with divine, like a drop of water merges with an ocean and are then able to express infinite love, power and wisdom of your Divine Self. When you do live from this state of consciousness, you become centered. Non-attachment, which is also dealt with in this book - becomes in a way a natural side-effect of the entire process - because the only thing you desire, the only little prayer that you have is "Thy will be done". When you live your daily life fully aware of, and feeling and expressing the presence of your Greater Self, you don't need to hope or believe that it is there - you KNOW it, and you TRUST it wholeheartedly - you know that it is your best friend and that it has your best interests at heart - so you let it express through you freely - and you know that it doesn't matter what may come or go out of your life - whatever you may ever need will be always supplied to meet all of your needs. In this way, your begin living an effortless life. You neither have any need or desire to manipulate others, nor are they able to manipulate you any more - because you are now true only to your Greater Self (to God) and all that you desire to do - wholeheartedly - is let Its will express through you and your life, because through your own experience, the moment you surrender to Its guidance, you very fast learn that that's the better way, and the easier way to live one's life. Why struggle through life like an individual drop of water, when you can have an entire ocean take care of you. And how could you possibly not love it more than anything else in the world, when it is always there for you to do everything for you, to fill all of your needs. In the process you become so deeply and madly in love in God (your Greater Self) - not because some book suggested that you should do so, but because you have realized that it truly is your closest and your best friend - that it is Your Very Own Magnificent Self.

The meditations at the end of each chapter are very effective, real, and have immediate effect. The writing is magnificent and divinely guided. If you are hooked on specific techniques for developing esp, this book is not for you, but if you are looking for opening up to the divine, wanting to be inspired, and feel the power of the light in changing your life, then this is a gem of a book.

As a author myself, I rarely recommend books that are channeled. This book is an exception. The messages in this book are powerful, concise and address both the human and spiritual concerns of the reader, in very practical terms. Whether or not you believe in channeled wisdom, this book will make a difference in your life. Although I not particularly familiar with the author's others works, her book echoes many of the themes in my own book. Her book is written with extraordinary compassion and sensitivity. When you read this book you not only feel compelled to thoughtfully reflect on what was written, you will feel the author's words touch those place within your own heart that lack self-love. The result is a healing take place that allows you to move from a state of unhappiness and self-doubt to a state of grace that words alone can not describe.

I think that in the world there is still some confusion between religion and spirituality. You can be religious, but not spiritual. You can know all the creeds, follow all the dogmas, practice all the rites and passages but if there is no Spirit involved in with what you are doing and practicing, what good is it? I think the main reason why more and more people don't break out of their old religious mindsets is because they have become superstitious about their beliefs. They fear that God might punish them or forsake them or send them to hell for attempting to expand their beliefs.

This book really gave me some valuable insights on how you can truly spiritualize the ordinary...because NOTHING is ordinary! Everything is already Spirit. We don't make something spiritual...we look to see where the Spirit might be in this situation. And maybe you're grumbling to yourself, "There ain't nothin' spiritual about my situation..."

Let me give you a few reminders, if you're experiencing bad health than this is your opportunity to express good health. Start throwing away the ding dongs and cheetos and start buying apples and bananas. Pour the beer down the drain and start drinking water and green tea. Get off the couch and take a walk. But above all else, realize that Spirit is your health. Every cell, every atom, every strand of your being is made in the Image and Likeness of Perfect Health. Your body wants to renew Itself right now. It's not your body that is to blame, it's what you're telling yourself, it's what you are believing. Say to yourself now, "I am healthy. My body is vibrant and alive. I feel good. I now decide to express health and vibrancy each and every day." Say this to yourself morning, noon, and night. Talk about wealth. talk about vibrancy. Keep your conversation in "Heaven".

Maybe you feel poor and like an abject failure. Hey, I've been there...I really have. But now is the accepted time to realize that today is another day and you do not have to believe what you used to believe about yourself. Say to yourself...better yet go look in a mirror and say to yourself, "I am an abundant child of the universe. I am open now to new possibilities, to Divine opportunities, to experiences and situations that empower me, bless me, and prosper me." God did not create anyone poor or miserable. We are here to live the abundant life. we are here to be successful and fulfilled.

Okay, your last relationship soured. Just like the one before that and the one before that. It means nothing. It only means that you need to create a better relationship with yourself first. You need to be the person you wish to attract. Be kind, be forgiving, be loving, be peaceful. Yeah, you might attract a few crudballs into your life, but don't fall for them. Ask your heart/your soul what is for your Highest and Best and here's a tip, LISTEN! We all have the power of intuition but most of us, if not all of us, refuse to believe it. Start making the realization that you deserve only the very best and you do! This is precisely why you are going to be the very best for nobody else but you!

Spiritual Growth is about making daily changes and minor shifts in your perception. Spiritual Growth is exponential. You will be amazed at how much progress you can make in as little as 21 days if you just keep at it. Be forgiving, be merciful, be gentle with yourself. Feed yourself with books that empower you. Remember, you are not insulting God by wanting to be your very best, you are, in Truth, honoring that Spirit that created you out of Itself.

Get this book, apply its magnificent ideas, and flourish! You are the Light, the Love, and the Life of God and you are here to be, do, and have an abundance of everything that is good.

Your life is a blessing and you are blessed even now.

This is a great book for anyone who is on a spiritual path and desires more information about spiritual growth. Sanaya's guide Orin walks the reader through various changes in consciousness he or she may be experiencing, and illustrates how it relates to improving one's life. There are also excellent processes in the book to make your life go more smoothly (for example, sending light to a situation for healing and resolution). This book has helped me to better understand some of the changes and experiences I have had as I have followed my higher self's guidance in life. It has also given me tools to get through some seemingly challenging lessons. There are helpful meditations throughout the book which help you connect with higher realms for clarity, assistance, joy, and guidance. A very interesting book for those interested in spiritual growth!

This is channeled material, which some people never consider. I really value the book highly because it gives basic lessons in metaphysics, how to access higher planes, and the like. One can read it over and over again, and gain much each time. Highly recommended.

Sanaya has an extremely unique talent of writing with a timelessness that makes her material fresh and alive each time you read it. This material comes through at a very high vibrational level and reaches right to the heart of issues I have seen unfold in my life and in the lives of others. These messages from Orin are powerful and extremely basic. Sanaya/Orin has a clarity that allows you easily absorb the truth behind what is being said. No mumbo jumbo here. Good stuff! This is a book you can read and re-read with tremendous benefit. When you read this material, you have the sense that Sanaya/Orin is truly connected to spirit at a high level. It is well worth reading. - Mark Greenia, author of "Energy Dynamics: Conscious Human Evolution."

Although I love this book, I don't advise people to start here on the path to spirital awakening. I am of the opinion that you should first read up on information about channeling. Doing so will help you accept the fact that you are always being protected by benevolent beings such as your Higher Self and will enable you to ebrace the notion of connecting with such a being with an open heart. In the beginning, I tried to jump right in but found that without adequate information about the subject my mind conjured up all types of fear-based fantasies about being posessed. Eventually, I learned to trust spirit and allowed my heart to be "touched by an angel". Once you begin this journey you will never be the same: your want to improve yourself mentally, physically, and spiritually will grow exponentially. This will probably be challenging for most because growth often translates into having little to no room left for old patterns and friends. Approach when ready.
