2.0 out of 5 stars Careful about buying BN publishing Books
This is not the only Joel S Goldsmith title that BN has altered. Wouldn't recommend. I purchased this particular book and really regret having done so. I ordered another one by Devorss and company, the June 1980 version.

4.0 out of 5 stars A Way to Re-Connect with Scripture, February 28, 2002

Rev. Marcia Sutton (Waldport, OR United States) - See all my reviews
Joel Goldsmith's "Spiritual Interpretation of Scripture" takes us beyond the normal metaphysical Bible interpretations into a deeper realization of the Spiritual Truth contained in the Holy Scriptures.

First and foremost, this book shows how the Bible serves as a blueprint or map for the evolution of consciousness in individuals as well as in humanity as a whole. In loving and deliberate terms, we are shown how every story in the scriptures represents a state of consciousness that we must go through on our path to that exhaulted state of Love as promised in the New Covenant through Jesus. Goldsmith writes,

"The Bible is not a book outside of you; it is not a series of events which took place thousands of years ago. Scripture is the unfolding of characters and movements or happen- ings that are taking place within you--right this minute. Every Biblical experience can be found in your consciousness at some time or other."

This is why, over the centuries, people have found comfort, direction and peace in the Holy Scriptures. And, Goldsmith's book shows us how to re-enter scripture to see the Light which offers blessings and guidance for our spiritual path in the midst of today's modern world.

5.0 out of 5 stars Leads the way, June 11, 2007
This book is a good place to begin reading the long list of books by Joel Goldsmith. I was led to further study of Goldsmith's "The Infinite Way" by this reading. It sparked my interest which continues to grow and deepen. As a metaphysical perspective of the Bible, it presents a point of view that moves away from traditional religion and toward a more individualized spirituality.
It is not a book to read and be done with. It endures over time as it becomes new again and again with each reading. That seems true for most spritual readings. The book changes and grows as I change and grow. It is a must have for any spiritual student.

BN Publishing is making many changes to Goldsmith's work. Beware and avoid. The original of this title is a fine book.

This book is a deeply reflective masterpiece and provides much needed food for the spiritually hungry in a clear and easy-to-read way. Definitely one of Joel's best works and I've read almost a dozen of his books, quite a few of the little pamphlets, and I have lots of tapes and newsletters. I love my dog-eared copy and have gone over it many times as there is always something new to be gleaned from it. Thanks Joel. Melanie :)

Amazon Verified Purchase(What's this?)
This book gives a new and enlightened meaning to the scriptural things we have learned about through church and biblical teachings. Joel is a master at relating the message of gleaning enlightenment through inward meditation and writes his message with clear and concise language and repetition. A inspirational book for those seeking a deeper relationship to God.

3.0 out of 5 stars Copyright, August 31, 2011

I was amazed that someone could copy a book already in print. The original pages were simply copied onto a larger page but the material retained the original size print and margins.

The text is the same, as I had hoped. A plus for this would be, I guess, that the reader could make notes without any problem right on the page and have plenty of room. I am assuming that someone with authority at Joel Goldsmith's organization did this. Since the text is the same I am not returning the book. Trudy Charlton

1.0 out of 5 stars The title should be: Metaphysical Interpretation of Scripture, January 16, 2008
By
mcv57 (Chicago, IL USA) - See all my reviews
This book is not applicable to the orthodox Christian. Mr. Goldsmith gives his private interpretation of the Bible scriptures - The metaphysical/ spiritualist version of the Bible (merging the ideology of the Infinite Way). Some of his "new age" views are very practical, but requires the neccesity to give deity to the mind (its part of the infinite).

Really folks, in reading his ideas, I am beginning to wonder if the man meditated too much - he worships the mind/ consciousness (the Kingdom is in his mind). He believes that the "Jesus consciencness" is free of disease and bad health (If that is case, why did he die).

Again, if this man interpretation was truth in whole, why no record that he raised the dead, cured the blind, or make the cripple walk. In my opinion, the guy went off the deep-end and started worshipping the void in his mind. If you want mystical Biblical interpretation, you may want to research Judism mystics - the Kabblah.
